If the libraries are for MSVC then you can use menu File / Import / MSVC project. Then there you will have to revise code to remove all MSVC stuff to have it working. If the library is GCC code, then you can create new project with dev-cpp. Then click Project / Add to project... and add all the *.c, *.cpp, *.h, *.hpp files into you project. You might also need to add main.cpp with some testing code or set project as static or dynamic library to avoid this. Dev-C++ creates its own makefile but if you want to use your one, you can pick it in Project options / Makefile / Use own makefile. Dev-C++ is kinda powerful tool but you need to play around with it for some time to discover all its abilities. --- Jan Ringoš, Tr...@mx... http://tringi.mx-3.cz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sean Baumann" <drg...@ho...> To: <dev...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 5:38 PM Subject: [Dev-C++] Newbie Quesition > I'm trying to learn to use Dev-cpp 5, but I'm having a little trouble > figuring out how to compile programs that I download.
