The title is slightly different: "Effective C++: 55 Specific Ways to Improve Your Programs and Designs." I highly recommend it - even for those persons with an earlier version. Much has changed. In addition to that there are so many books from which to choose. How about: Code Reading: The Open Source Perspective by Diomidis Spinellis Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code by Martin Fowler >> Most of the employees are otherwise-intelligent >> Electrical Engg. graduates who, >> unfortunately, write HORRENDOUS code... If all else fails, perhaps leave some books on resume writing lying around as a not-too-subtle hint. -- Chuck |
