I'm running the 4.01 version of DevCpp (delivered on the Bloodshed Software CD) on an NT4 system with SP6. I load an old project and compile it, everything is OK, but after I add some code and try to recompile I get the following message: Access violation at address 00403CA0 in module "DevCpp.exe". Read of address 2AF86DEB Clicking the OK button of the message runs another message that says: Invalid pointer operation The only way to get out now is to get the Task Manager list and to quit DevCpp from there. I tried to unload any background tasks and any other running programs so that DevCpp will run alone but I get the same message (maybe with some other memory addresses). I don't think the message is generated by the nature of the code I load, because the same happens with any project I load. So follows the natural question: is my system screwed or there is something with the compiler? If anyone has an idea I'll deeply appreciate. Thanks in advance Nico |
