If you are permanently visually impaired by 90% or more, as recognised by Federal Public Service Social Security, the National Public Transport Discount Card is available to you free of charge.
- on presentation of this card, you can travel free of charge in 2nd class
- more comfort: to travel 1st class, you need to buy a valid travel ticket

The European Disability Card is not a valid transport ticket. Persons with reduced mobility and their companion can travel by train more economically and more comfortably with the National Discount Card for the Visually Impaired or the Free Companion Card.
