How is this list compiled? I noticed that Rosie Colored Glasses is not on here but it received 4.1 stars and has a rating of 77 and reviewed by almost 50 readers and is not here, whereas there is are titles with no stars, no ratings listed in the 50s. Curious. Thanks.

This list is based on how people vote and how they rank the book on their list of votes for this list. The scores you see are only for this book list, not for the overall star rating. Anyone can add books to the list if they are Non-YA and are published in 2018.

Could a librarian remove Here and Now and Then and The Winter of the Witch from the list as the publication got pushed to 2019? If it's possible change the version of ساعة بغداد to the English version which is being published this year.

Where on the list are they? (Makes it much easier to remove.)

Can't change the edition unless it gets taken care of in combine duplicates, which it looks like it did not.

Yes! Thank you for this list! I am trying to move away from Young Adult books and into Adult literature! This is a great starting place!

The reason A Court of Frost and Starlight and Kingdom of Ash had so many votes it's because they feature adult-aged Main Characters. They are part of series that contain explicit sexual scenes, alcohol consumption, physical and sexual abuse. They are shelved as New Adult, Adult and Erotica. Librarians: Please do not erase them so this list can remain informative.

So my one issue with that is though they have become very graphic, they are marketed as YA and sold in the YA section of bookstores. SJM's new book, Crescent City, is being described as her first adult novel/series.

Actually in the Children's section in Target. Many of the list voters don't buy books on bookstores so marketing shouldn't factor in.
