This list is only for books with scheduled/expected publication dates in 2024. I deleted 4 items clearly not eligible. Cluttering the list with ineligible entries hurts authors and books that we can expect to read in 2024. Books removed were "The Devils," due 2025; "The Floating World," due 2025; "Shadow Speaker," an award winner first published in 2007; "The Winds of Winter," by George RR Martin, listed on his blog in late July, 2023, as hundreds of pages from being finished, and no possibly no publication date ever--I'm wishing for this one, too. I did not check every book on the list, but will try to keep an eye on it for other violations.

Two that I noticed are on page two, The Shadow Casket came out in February 2023 and This Cursed Light comes out in December 2023.Edit- Also The Will of the Many by James Islington is on page one and came out this year already.
I deleted the Islington book, and another I encountered, Mistress of Bones, by Marie Z Medina, due in 2025. I did leave the Patrick Rothfus book, as after a bit of research, it appears there is actually a chance it may come out next year--Hooray! I was unable to access page 2 in edit mode, but will try again later. Thanks for catching those ineligible titles.
Well, a 2024 release of "The Devils" is very likely given Joe's status updates. There is no 2025 schedule for it though it might slip to 2025.
Hi! Cait Corrain’s book Crown of Starlight can be removed since she was discovered making fake accounts and review bombing other debut authors’ books, her publisher dropped her book from their 2024 publishing schedule.
Posting just to note that while Goodreads still lists a 2007 edition of Peter S. Beagle's I'm Afraid You've Got Dragons, as far as I can tell it never happened and the 2024 Saga Press edition will be the book's first release.
A bunch of titles deleted, most due in 2025:#18 The Strength of the Few
#37 Red God
#75 Outlaw Empire
#86 Thief of Night
#124 Gods and Game Masters
#221 The Martian Contingency
#269 A Curse Set in Stone
#384 Volatile Memory
2 published in 2023:
#111 Sheine Lende
#158 The Sunlit Man
The last group are still unscheduled:
#121 The Cistern
#132 Primal Blood and Bone
#197 Untitled
#199 The Lord of Demons
I did not check every title, so let me know of any I've missed.

Sheine Lende was absolutely published in 2024, I think the one Goodreads listing for a 2023 edition is a mistake.
Looks like Alecto the Ninth won't be happening this year. It's not listed on the publisher website, and it's not available for pre-order.
I think my reply to you somehow didn't get posted. I did a little more research on Sheine Lende, and it appears you are correct. It's back on the list. Thanks! Will delete Alecto

Does anyone have a way to reach out to the creator of this list to see if they're planning on making one for 2025? I could volunteer to make the list for next year, but wouldn't want to do so without permission.Edit: The list exists already, it just wasn't showing up for me in search for some reason. Link for anyone else looking for it: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
