As an intern, Amy C. asked Lucid Software’s CEO if he’d sit down with her for an informational interview. He said yes — and told her most interns never ask. That moment has stayed with her. Amy’s path into tech started far outside the traditional route. She studied ecology, not computer science, and taught herself to code during a research internship. At MasterControl, that same curiosity and willingness to figure things out led her to build the orchestration layer connecting six AI products to production as the company crossed $200M in revenue. Now, at Pattern, she’s the person teams turn to when they want to build AI tools that people will actually trust and use.
