🙌🏼 What an incredible evening at Salesforce Tower! A huge thank you to Sequoia One and Pebl for co-hosting last night's event with StartupExperts. We had the opportunity to bring together nearly 60 HR, People, Finance, and Operations leaders for a thoughtful discussion on employee benefits, healthcare trends, and key takeaways from Sequoia's latest benchmarking report. ✨ 💡 The evening featured a great panel conversation with Jesse, Nupur, and Gabriel, who shared valuable insights and perspectives on what employers are seeing in today's benefits landscape and how organizations are preparing for the future. Afterward, attendees enjoyed networking and conversation during happy hour in one of the most spectacular venues in the Bay Area—the top of Salesforce Tower. 🏁 One of the highlights of the evening was our social impact activity, where attendees came together to assemble 137 care bags that will be donated to a local charity. It was a meaningful reminder that community is about more than learning and networking—it's also about giving back. 💛 A special thank you to Jesse Freese for organizing the event and bringing together such an incredible group of leaders, partners, and community members. 💡 One of the questions we explored during last week's StartupExperts Book Club was: What deserves our attention? It's a simple question, but perhaps one of the most important ones we can ask ourselves as leaders. 💭 Our discussion centered around The Sirens' Call by Chris Hayes and the idea that attention has become one of the most valuable—and contested—resources in modern life. From endless notifications and algorithm-driven content to the realities of remote work and screen-heavy days, it's becoming increasingly difficult to protect the things that matter most. 💫 🚨 What stood out wasn't just the conversation about technology. It was the discussion around connection. - How often do we give someone our full attention? - How often do we create space for genuine conversation without distractions? - How often do we intentionally choose where our attention goes instead of letting something else choose for us? A special thank you to Holly Hatlo for facilitating another thoughtful discussion, and to Amy Cowgill, Madeleine Schnell, and Kat for sharing their perspectives and helping make the conversation so engaging. 💛 These discussions are one of the many reasons our community is so special.
