This is my FAVORITE first day of class activity in 6th grade math!
• It sounds so easy to make the pentominoes fit together in the frame, but it is not!
• Students work for most of the period and can’t figure it out, but they don’t give up!
• Building persistence from Day 1....and the students love the challenge.
• I learn SO much about students on the first day by watching them work on this.😊
