Bread Mould Experiment Observations

Moulds were observed growing on a slice of bread after it was sprinkled with water and stored in a plastic bag for four days. When viewed under a microscope, moulds could be seen on the bread. Moulds belong to the group of microorganisms. They grow on the bread because the moisture provides suitable conditions for them to live and grow. Moulds are considered living things because they can grow and reproduce.
