What is a Learning Disability?
A neurological disorder
that effects reading,
writing, spelling,
organizing and social
skills
A learning disability cant
be cured nor can it be
fixed.
It can be hereditary or it
can be caused by an
incident during or after
birth.

The specific learning disability in
reading
Characterized by complications
with word recognition, decoding,
and spelling.
Can result in poor reading
fluency and can cause problems
with reading out loud.
Language based disability in
which one has issues with
written words.
Has a hard time understanding
jokes.
Dysgraphia
A learning disability that
affects writing.
Results in poor writing,
spelling, and putting their
thoughts down on paper.
Difficulty writing within a
defined space
A cause is lack of fine-motor
coordination or a physical
tremor that prevents
handwriting to become messy.
Dyscalculia
General term for difficulty in
math.
Poor understanding of math
symbols, complications with
memorizing and organizing
numbers.
Challenges with handling and
counting money.
Treatments could be using
graph paper, less distractions,
and different ways to learn
the material.
Auditory Processing disorder
Receiving information and
interpreting it through sound
Auditory disorders affect how
the information is interpreted
through sound.
Difficulty remembering what
information was presented
orally.
Difficulty noticing the separate
sounds in words.
Visual Processing disorder
Weakness in the ability to
understand visual
information.
There would be difficulty
identifying a shape or
character in the background.
Wouldnt be able to
distinguish one item from
another.
Difficulty coordinating body
movement.
