From the Principal...............

What a busy and fun month of October. It was great to see everyone at McTeacher Night. We raised approximately $640 dollars. Thanks for coming out

and supporting TJ! The kids had a great time at the Character/Bullying Program sponsored by PTA. Jim was very entertaining and had a great message for the kids see someone being bullied: 1. Yell STOP! 2. Think 3. Report Check out the pictures below! What a great job TJ students and families for helping to raise $823.29 through the can collection. Thank you for helping to teach our children a very important lesson in giving back to our community and helping others. The kids are excited for our TJ FunD Run on November 1st. The money raised will go toward the purchase the remaining playground equipment, benches and trash can. Parent/Teacher conferences were once again well attended. We appreciate you taking the time to visit with your childs teacher. We believe it is very important that we work together to help each child reach their full potential. If you were not able to visit with the teacher during this time, please contact the teacher and arrange a time. A Big Thank You to our PTA for providing the teachers with supper on Tuesday and Thursday nights for parent/teacher conferences. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness! Since we are in our third month of school we would like to ask parents to please allow your child(ren) to walk to the playground and line up with their class when they arrive at school. We have quite a few parents walking the halls in the mornings and this makes security of the building an extra challenge. If your child arrives to school after 8:00 they should enter the front doors and walk to their classroom. If parents want to walk them to the front door because you parked in the south parking lot that is great also, just please allow them to walk to their classroom independently. Thank you in advance for helping your child grow and gain independence and confidence.

Keep those Box Tops Coming! Thomas Jefferson Families did a great job last year cutting our Box Top labels. Together we raised a little over $2,000 dollars that was spent on the new playground. This year our goal is to raise $2,704 dollars from Box Tops. Your continued help as well as your extended families and friends is much needed and appreciated! Keep cutting and sending in those Box Tops! Box Top Products: Betty Crocker, Nestle Juicy Juice, Several

types of Cereal, Hefty, Pillsbury, Green Giant, Totinos, Hamburger Helper, Old El Paso, Progresso, Cottonelle, Kleenex, Scott tissue, Land O Lakes, Yoplait, Nature Valley
