The School

Being at school sucks is not the best thing on earth; however it might help you learn a lot of things that could be interesting. In my school we have a lot of different activities that make it fun, like the fun day that consists in coming a day dressed in a costume according to the topic that is given, for example, this year our spirit day was about Nerds, it was quite hard to find a proper costume though I went dressed as Sheldon from the TV show The Big Bang Theory. We had a normal day of classes but we took a lot of photos and laughed at each others costumes. The next fun thing weve done so far is go to Mindo, which is like 1 hour and a half from where we study; Mindo is a small town where the weather is pretty warm and humid, and its mostly about forest and natural resources that have been a main tourist attraction. We did tubing in the river, it was extremely exciting. Inside the school, the environment it quite welcoming for everyone, all the students socialize a lot and know each other; here there are no age boundaries which is an advantage for social skills. We have labeled English classes, we have different levels for the different kids, the lowest level is E.S.L and the highest is College Prep, teachers are very nice all around unless you give them reasons to be mean. We have spacious courts and extra activities that are included in the schools schedule, such as soccer club, journalism club, cooking club, band club, etc. All of the clubs are very interesting and fun, which makes it hard to choose because you can only, chose one for the entire semester. I chose journalism; we do fun activities like taking pictures, interviewing, and writing. The administration of the school is an example, the members of our staff Are very nice and the headmistress in a role

model to everyone; we have correct, responsible people leading our way, especially teachers. We have the trust that is needed to live as a community in harmony and peace. During our classes we do different activities that help us develop our self confidence by doing presentations, sharing our interests in a coherent and appropriate way, writing about ourselves, and outdoor activities like playing football and other sports that help us integrate more into the group. In my opinion, I believe that this school is really great in terms of education; I think that all the activities are very nice and the organization is very well kept. The moral values and the Christian beliefs complement it as well.
