Position Description: Integration Specialist
District-Level Responsibilities
• Act as a liaison between Technology Operations function and Curriculum Dept.
• Assist in Integration aspects of curriculum writing at the appropriate grade-
level
• Develop and maintain a resource for staff and administration aligning currently
owned educational technology with grade-level curriculum, using the skills of the
21st Century concepts, principles, and ideas as a framework for integration
• Provide leadership in the writing and updating of the District Technology Plan
• Support the implementation and ongoing, reflective evaluation of the District
Technology Plan
• Plan and present District year-round staff development in technology integration,
using the ISTE Tech Standards and the Skills of the 21st Century concepts,
principles, and ideas as a framework for delivery
• Assist in developing instructional materials (documentation, screencasts,
podcasts, wikis, etc.)
• Support the PLC initiative according to the visions and direction of the Academic
Director and Superintendent
Building-Level Responsibilities
• Working with the building principal, facilitate the PLC process by:
o provisioning assessment data,
o providing functional guidance during PLC meetings,
o providing resources for teacher instruction as a response to assessment
data
• Preview and recommend for purchase and deployment any educational software,
or hardware, ensuring fidelity with the lead-teacher software support structure
• Plan and execute professional development experiences that develop skills and awareness
in technology integration and progressive teaching methodologies
• Meet with individual teachers in order to facilitate the effective use of technology
in their pedagogical approach
• Serve as the Pinnacle Gradebook Manager at the building-level
• Serve as liaison between teaching staff and Technology Operation repair
personnel, providing support in initial diagnosis when feasible
Certification and Job Requirements
• Prior teaching experience a must; current, up-to-date certificate strongly
preferred
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Demonstrated effort at continuous improvement and evidence of being a self-
directed, life-long learner
• Prior experience with integration of technology and curriculum, including
evidence of advanced awareness regarding technology’s impact on pedagogy
• Background in developing, planning, and presenting teacher development
opportunities
• Strong interpersonal, writing, and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of classroom assessment methods, context, validity, and
best-practices

• Demonstrates a solid ability to work collaboratively; fosters teamwork, never
acting to advance personal interests at the expense of the Integration Team, or
the Technology Dept. as a whole
• Displays initiative and passion towards teacher empowerment
