PURPOSE OF THE FIELD VISIT
The purposes of field visit program are as follow: To identify and analyze the way of living of rural
people.
Our special focus is on their stratification, needs,
system of settlement, culture, behavior etc.
DURATION
Our field visit program started from 5th November to 7th November
2012. In these three days we focused on village Harrai and try to
interact and analyze with the village.
We try to meet with every households of the village but we
could not do such because of scarcity of time and some other reasons.
INTRODUCTION
This program was conducted for providing us a chance
to know about life style, occupation, agriculture system, social and
cultural scenario, economic condition, natural resources of Harrai
village. We get to know about realties & facts about a rural area during
our visit. This report is highly concerned with the identification of the
need of the rural people, their geographical surroundings, men-women
participation, health, sanitation etc. under the different circumstance.
The basic needs approach is one of the major approaches to the
measurement of rural people. It attempts to define the absolute minimum
resources necessary for long-term physical well-being, usually in terms
of consumption goods. The poverty line is then defined as the amount of
income required to satisfy those needs. Other needs are cultural need,
political need, social needs these are individual need as well as
community need.
Geographical surrounding includes the flora and
fauna in rural area. Health among females and children, community
development programmes, family planning methods are some of other
issue on which we focused during our rural visit.
METHODOLOGY
We found the best methodology for getting information was personal
interaction with peoples.
Repo building
Repo building is one of most powerful tool to the collection of
data, when we enter the village our main objective how to maintain our
reputation positively before them so we continue to maintain and sustain
our repo building and assist of repo we collect valuable data.
Transit Walk
First day of my field visit we only understand the geographical
area of the village, the attitude of the people, could who responded our
questions, what facility run in this village, what more intervention
programme provide by the government, they sustain our self, Did SHG
run in this village, community mobilization are in here, electricity
facilities, clothing, communication skill, sanitation, panchayat can run
positively or not, they people satisfied to the pradhan or not.
Door to door Interview
Firstly we used door to door interview for collecting valuable data,
we can assess or evaluate many valuable data on the basis of our
objective. We were set questionnaire regarded to our objective, we were
set questions in mixed form which have fixed or close ended question as
well as open ended questions. We design all questions as respect to cover
all aspect that held on that village. Like: - what are the changes occurred
in the environment of the village, what type of difficulties faced by them
after setup of brick kiln, what are the changes occurred after
establishment of brick kiln.

SUGGESTION
Good supervision system is necessary to increase the
efficiency of various programmes launched by government.
Most important task is educating the villagers about various
schemes, literacy and issues related to development. This can be done by
organizing six-monthly camps.
Teachers need to develop themselves as education facilities provided by
them are still poor.
Officials of higher authority should be made
responsible for development.
Involving college student from various engineering and management
college to educate them and increase awareness.
Incentive for sarpanchs.
Increasing awareness about sustainable development.
Providing proper health facility and ambulance facility.
Pradhan should be accountable to higher authority as well as to rural
peoples.
