JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
Purpose of the testimony: Plaintiff, BRUCE WAYNE, is presenting the
testimony of ALFRED PENNYWORTH, to prove that defendant Harley
Quinn personally offered the promissory note given by HARLEY QUINN on
June 01, 2017.
ALFRED PENNYWORTH, of legal age, Filipino, the personal butler
of BRUCE WAYNE, after having been sworn in accordance with law and
fully conscious that I do so under oath and that I may face criminal liability
for false testimony or perjury in way of answers to the questions propounded
to be by Atty. Harvey Dent, with office address at the Public Attorney’s
Office, La Paz, Iloilo City, do hereby depose and state:
Q1: Mr. Witness, you say you are the personal butler of plaintiff
Bruce Wayne. What exactly are your responsibilities as his
personal butler?
A: I take care of Master Bruce’s residence, as well as making sure
his professional and personal affairs are in order. I also prepare
his meals and 3 o’clock tea.
Q2: Since you arrange his professional affairs in order, are you aware
of his dealings with a certain Harley Quinn?
A: Yes.
Q3: And what can you tell me about Bruce Wayne’s dealings with
this Harley Quinn?
A: Master Bruce and Harley Quinn first met at Queen’s Court on
June 01, 2017, to transact important business matters. During the
course of their negotiations, Master Bruce agreed to lend five
million pesos to Harley Quinn, and Harley Quinn gave Master
Bruce a promissory note as a security that she will render
payment the following year.
Q4: Were you present when this transaction took place?
A: Yes. And I saw the contents of the promissory note myself.
Q5: What were the contents of the promissory note?
A: That Harley Quinn promised to pay Master Bruce the sum of five
million pesos on January 01, 2018.
Q6: I am showing you the promissory note Bruce Wayne allegedly
received from Harley Quinn, marked as Annex-A. Are you
familiar with this promissory note?
A: Yes. That is the same promissory note Harley Quinn gave to
Master Bruce for the five-million-peso loan.
Q7: There is a signature indicated in this promissory note. Do you
know whose signature this belongs to?
A: Yes. It is Harley Quinn’s signature.
Q8: How do you know that it is?
A: I personally saw Harley Quinn sign the promissory note before
she gave the same to Master Bruce.
