7 continents in their correct locations 3 each =21
5 oceans in proper locations and labeled correctly 3 each = 15
Latitude lines marked every 30 degrees – should have 6 total, with 3 on 3 each = 18
the either side of the equator
Longitude lines marked every 60 degrees = should have 5 total with 2 on 3 each = 15
the either side of the prime meridian plus another one where the east
meets the west
Equator labeled 1
Prime meridian labeled 1
International Date Line labeled 1
Cross-sectional area: Crust – thickness properly estimated (oceanic and 2
continental crust)
Cross-sectional area: Mantle – thickness properly estimated 2
Cross-sectional area: Outer core – thickness properly estimated and well 2
designed to mark its difference from the inner core
Cross-sectional area: Inner core – thickness properly estimated and well 2
designed to mark its difference from the outer core
Basic facts of the Layers of the Earth (well stipulated) 2 each = 8
Neatness, Clearness and creativity of the globe 10
Total 100 pts.
