Ultra Low Temp Rubber Data Sheet

This document provides test data for an ultra-low temperature fluorocarbon rubber compound called F225. The compound is designed for seals operating in extreme low temperatures and high pressures. It has a hardness of 90 IRHD, tensile strength of 18.51 MPa, and can operate from -54°C to 200°C. Compression set tests show less than 25% compression after up to 336 hours at 175°C. Aging tests indicate reductions in tensile strength and elongation after 168 and 336 hours at 175°C, while absorption tests show minimal volume or hardness changes after exposure to various oils and water.

Description

This special ultra low temperature fluorocarbon rubber compound is designed to give the best rapid gas decompression
resistance for seals operating in extreme low temperature – high pressure environments. It has excellent physical
properties for a compound with such a high hardness and is suitable for sealing against a wide range of oils, fuels and
chlorinated solvent. Service Temperature -54°C (-65°F) to 200°C (390°F).
