Hand out the model essay and ask students where the introduction is. Give students time to read the

Put the students into groups and ask them to think of two things they would like to compare.
Introduce a speaking role-play exercise. Give them 10 minutes of freestyling and fun.

Independent Practice  R  W  L  S
Give the students time to select their partners for quiz and diction dictations. Pair students who
did not find partners or group them in a larger team/group.

Assessment  R  W  L  S
Give students a speaking conversation exercise. And rate them based on individual
performances.
