I. Introduction
The A.P. Residential Degree College, Vijayapuri South, Nagarjunasagar (Men):
The criteria of Admission into A.P. Residential Degree College, V.P South,
Nagarjunasagar is the merit in RDC-CET 2020. The courses offered for the 1 st year Degree
are i ) B.A. (HEP), ii) [Link] (General), iii) [Link]., (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) and iv)
[Link]. (Maths, Stat. and Computer Science) in. The medium of instruction is English.
The college was established in 1982 by the Govt. of A.P Vide [Link]. 762
Edn., Dept., Dt.21-9-1982 under the Management of A.P Residential Educational
Institutions Society (Regd.), Hyderabad. It is a Residential (Gurukul) pattern with a motto
to cater the quality education for the economically poor and rural talented students at
undergraduate level. The main objective of t h e APREI Society to start APR Degree
College at Nagarjunasagar is to provide quality education suited to the present
educational scenario in a congenial atmosphere to help and t o strive for all round
development of the students. It provides free boarding and hostel facility in addition to
free education with the Cent percent Grant in aid of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

The College has been producing outstanding results since the inception, and t h e
meritorious students settling in higher positions. A good number of students got selection to
IITS, Indian Institute of Science, Central Universities of Hyderabad, Pondichery, JNU, BHU,
University of Delhi and other reputed institutions across the country. Most of t h e [Link].
Students got selected for CA, ICWA & Company Secretaries. Majority of the B.A.
students got selection for Group I and Group II Services and some of them have joined
IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS. The college is well equipped with good Library and Laboratory facilities.
Highly qualified and experienced lecturers have been honing the innate skills of the students.
It is a judicious combination of talented youth and experienced Lecturers. There is a loco
parent for each group of 20 students and he looks after the welfare of them as a Parent. The
loco parent will supervise overall welfare of his ward which includes not only academic but
even health, career guidance and counseling. APRDC, NAGARJUNASAGAR HAS BEEN
AWARDED WITH B+ BY NAAC.
The ALUMNI is playing a pivotal role and supporting the outgoing students financially
and academically by giving scholarships, fellowship, academic guidance etc,. The college
conducted Silver Jubilee function in December, 2007 in a grand scale. For the last several

years the college has been securing not only 100% results but also getting good
number of University Ranks.

1) Profile of the College:

a.) Silver Jubilee Government Degree College, Kurnool was established in October
1972 to cater the needs of rural talented s t u d e n t s in the state of erstwhile
A.P. It was conferred as AUTONONMOUS in the year 2005 by UGC, recognized
as the College with Potential for Excellence in 2010 by UGC and Re-
Accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in [Link] provide Academic Flexibility,
Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) was introduced in 2013-14. The institution
introduced Co- education in 2014-15 by admitting the women students as Day
scholars.
b) The college has produced many eminent administrators, several number of
academicians, scientists and many more have occupied prominent positions
in so many esteemed organizations throughout the world.
c) Silver Jubilee Government Degree College (Autonomous), Kurnool is under the
jurisdiction of Rayalaseema University, Kurnool. However, the students are
considered as local for all the A.P State Universities for P.G admissions.
d) This Institution conducting many General Electives under CBCS to inculate
additional skills in their subjects are being introduced to cultivate research
culture among the students.
e) The College Library is enriched with thousands of Books, Journals, e-Library in
addition to Departmental Libraries. The IT Infrastructure includes 190
Computers, LCD Projectors, Laptops, Computer Science Lab, JKC Lab,
Commerce Lab and SC, ST Centre. Every Department is provided with BSNL
Broad Band Internet connectivity.
f) The Institution has Jawahar Knowledge Centre which imparts employable skills
to the students and assists them in the Campus Placements. Many students got
jobs around the globe i n organizations like Infosys, ICICI and Cipla and other
MNCs.
g) Many students got seats in PG Courses in national vide reputed Universities
like Central University Hyderabad, Pondichery, ICAR, JNU, New Delhi IISc
Bangalore and National Institutions of Technologies at Warangal, Calicut etc.,

2) Hostel facilities at SJGDC (A), Kurnool:
a) The admitted students shall reside in the Hostels attached to the college
separately for men and women.

b) The students will be sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1,350/- per month by

Government of A.P towards diet charges.
c) Total maintenance charges (electricity, water charges, wages to hostel workers
etc.) will be equally distributed to the number of inmates in the hostel which may
come around Rs. 2,200/- per head for every year (already included in college
fee as shown above); which will be required to be paid at the time of admission
and in the beginning of second and third year. However, if any excess
expenditure incurred it will be collected from the inmates.
d) The hostel mess will be run either by a contractor appointed by the hostel
advisory committee through outsourcing or as it was run in previous years.

V. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR for RDC- CET 2020

a) Students who have appeared for Senior Intermediate Examination in March/April

- 2020 conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P and Board of
Intermediate of Telangana. or equivalent to Intermediate of A.P & Telangana. are
ONLY eligible to appear for the test subject to the other conditions. The students
appeared for the intermediate instant examinations in 2020 are not eligible for
admission.

b) They should have passed the qualifying examination in one and first attempt in
IPE- March 2020 and should have secured 50% of marks on aggregate and 40%
of marks in English subject (there is a relaxation of 5% in the case of SC/ST/BCs).

c) For B.A- all the students are eligible irrespective of subjects studied in
Intermediate.
But they have to opt HISTORY, ECONOMICS and CIVICS in Entrance Test. For
[Link] - Students of CEC or any other group are eligible. But they have to opt the
ECONOMICS, COMMERCE-I, COMMERCE-II in Entrance Test

d) For [Link]., (Maths, Statistics and Computer Science) - the students of MEC are
eligible and they have to opt Maths, Economics and Commerce- I in Entrance

e) For [Link] courses Students must have studied the respective subjects at
Intermediate level.

VI SCHEME AND SYLLABUS FOR THE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST

• The examination will be in one session of 2 ½ hours duration in the subjects
mentioned at table II and IV.
• Examination will be conducted for 150 marks in Total. There will be three
papers for 40 marks in each subject in addition to English paper for 30 Marks.
English paper is common to all.
• Examination will be conducted based on the Intermediate syllabus (Board of
Intermediate Education, AP, Guntur) for group subjects.
 ::6::
• Questions will be in both English and Telugu media and in objective type multiple
choice questions. Answers should be marked in OMR sheet.
• There will be no negative marks for wrong answer.
• For correct results all the answered circles should be shaded fully and thickly.
VII. RESERVATION OF SEATS:
a) The reservation of seats will be as per Govt. orders issued from time to time.
b) 33% seats in each course are ensured to women candidates at Silver Jubilee
Government College (A), Kurnool.
VIII RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR SPECIAL CATEGORIES:
a) Ex-servicemen in the case of admission under these categories.
b) For NCC - Senior Division ‘B’ Certificate.
c) For sports quota - District and above level participation certificate
d) For PHC quota - Medical Certificate issued by a Medical Officer not below the
rank of Civil Surgeon. Minimum disability i s 40%.
e) Children of Armed Personnel Q u o t a - relevant certificate from the competent
authority.

X. HOW TO APPLY:
Steps to be followed for submission of online application.
i. The candidate shall first go through the information bulletin carefully and satisfy
their eligibility for appearing for RDC-CET 2020.
ii. The candidate after satisfying himself/herself about the eligibility criteria for the
submission of application through online shall pay a fee of Rs.250.00 from 23-
03.2020 to22-04-2020 for submission of application through Online.
iii. The candidate has to give the required preliminary data (i.e. Name of the
candidate, Date of birth and mobile phone number).
 ::7::
iv. On receipt of fee, the candidate shall be issued a Journal Number’ with which
she/he can proceed with submission of application through online through the
website [Link] Issue of Journal Number does not mean that
the candidate has completed submission of application online. It is only a
confirmation of the fee received.
v. Before submission of the online application, the candidate has to fill up the
Model Application form (given at annexure-1)
vi. The candidates shall follow the procedure for submission of online application
as given in the ‘Information Bulletin’ and also as per the instructions provided
online while filling up the online application form. The Candidate should be
ready with photograph of size 3.5 X 4.5 cms before filling in on-line application.
The Photo should be scanned and uploaded along with the application form.
vii. While filling the on line application, the candidate has to opt the course. Once
a course is opted, that cannot be changed (For the course to be opted see the
table)
viii. On submission of Application ONLINE, the candidate has to take a copy (print) of
application form in which a reference number also be given. This Reference
number is required to download the Hall Ticket. The copy of online application
should be preserved for further reference.
ix. For any mistakes/incorrect information, the candidate is solely held
responsible. Hence, they must take utmost care while filling the online
application.
x. The Applications of the ineligible candidates will be rejected summarily

xi. The selected Candidate should be able to produce the original certificates at
the time of admission as a proof to the information furnished in the application.

xii. The selection of the candidate will be summarily rejected if they fail to submit the
necessary documents at the time of admission.

conducted for admission into AP Residential Degree College (Men) Nagarjunasagar and Silver

XII. JURISDICTION OF LOCAL CANDIDATES:

a) The candidate, who has studied in any of the educational institutions, located in any district

in a particular University area for a period of 7 continuous consecutive years (from Class

6th to Inter or its equivalent) at the time of his/her appearance to Inter or its equivalent

examination shall be treated as local candidate of that University area.

b) If the candidate studied Class 6th to Inter or its equivalent in different Districts located in

different University areas, the District in which he studied to the maximum four years

period will be taken into account for fixing the University area for selection. For proof, the

candidate has to submit the bonafide certificate/certificates from Class 6th to Inter or its

equivalent at the time of counseling without fail.

c) Private candidates should submit Nativity Certificate obtained from the MRO/Tahasildar.

Residence Certificate will not be accepted.

d) Candidates must be the residents and must have studied in Andhra Pradesh /Telangana
only.
e) The candidates must have appeared intermediate or its equivalent exam in March 2020
in single attempt only. Supplementary candidates are not eligible for admission
XIII. ISSUE OF HALL TICKETS:
• Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the website at
[Link] from 08.05.2020 to14.05.2020 with the reference number
allotted to them.
• Candidates have to download the hall tickets from the website only. No printed
hall ticket shall be issued/posted to the candidate.
• Request for issue of duplicate Hall Ticket will not be entertained.
• Without hall ticket, no candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination.

XIV. GENERAL INFORMATION:

1. Admissions are ONLY FOR MEN at APRDC Nagarjuna Sagar (Guntur Dt).
2. Admissions are for both MEN AND WOMEN STUDENTS at Silver Jubilee Govt.
Degree College (A), Kurnool.
3. Mere appearing for the Entrance Test does not confer any right for admission.
Applicants shall also fulfill other admission criteria stipulated by ANU & APREI society,
Rayalaseema University and Govt. of AP as the case may be.
4. The administration reserves the right of changing the rules to be followed as per the
directions of the Government and University from time to time.
5. The candidates are personally held responsible for incorrect information in the
application form.
6. The convener reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage, if the
particulars furnished by the candidate are found incorrect or against the rules of
admissions
7. The fees once paid will not be refunded in any case.

XV. SELECTION OFSTUDENTS:-

Selection of students shall be made based on the following:

order of the merit will be decided as follows:

XVII. The jurisdiction for any appeal to be settled is in Amaravathi city courts only. The
reference period for such appeal is before the completion of admissions of academic year
2020-21 or before the last date of admission into first year Degree courses.
