Proposed Three-Storey School Building Project Design 20
CHAPTER 3
PROJECT DESIGN
This chapter presents the necessary steps and procedures in making the structural
design and analysis of a Three-Storey School Building. The research procedures are as
follows:
1. The designer conducted a meeting with the client, Mr. Radsid S. Abubakar, to
discuss about all about the necessary information and what type of a building does
the client wants to constructs in his land area. The client specified that he wishes
to have a Three-Storey School Building. Based on the detailed description and lot
titled shown, the designer explained the codes that are required in making the
structural design of the Three-Storey School Building. The following codes are:
NBCP, NSCP 2015, NPCP and PEC.
2. The designer presents the Floor Plans, Elevation Plans and the Perspective of
those proposed project to the adviser for correction and evaluations.
3. The evaluated and revised design is presented to the client for further changes and
corrections.
4. The designer proceeded in making an architectural plan, structural plan, plumbing
and electrical plans of the building after the approval of the client. These plans are
conform to the codes: NBCP, NSCP 2015, NPCP and PEC.

5. Then, after the approval of the client and adviser, the designer submitted the
project seismic, slab design, beam design, column and footing of the project
building with specifications and standards which are based on NSCP 2015. Also,
the estimated cost of the project building is provided.
