GOD’S NOT DEAD by Harold Cronk
(Movie Review)
1. Who filled a complaint against teacher Grace Wesley? Why?
The parents of Brook field a complaint against teacher
Grace Wesley because they think that teacher grace violated
one of the school rules which is to never associate or talk
about Jesus in class. They also think that this case will
give them a lot of money from compensation from teacher
Grace Wesley if they win the case. The attorney who
approved them also told them that Brook will surely have a
spot in Stanford.
2. Did she go to trial? Why?
Yes.Teacher Grace go to trial because she don’t want to
apologize for what she have done because she believes that
she haven’t done anything wrong but to answer an innocent
question from a student in History class. She thinks that
fighting alongside with God.
3. Did she win the trial? How?
Yes, she did win the trial. First of all he surely knows
where to stand where is beside God.Second she wants to
prove that she haven’t done anything wrong. Her attorney is
also persistent on fighting and believing on grace,
enlightening everybody and convincing the jury that Grace
is innocent and being a believer is never a crime.
4. State your claim on the school board’s decision.
I really disagree on the school board. Because Grace Wesley
was one of them. A teacher who is just doing her job. The
board should have heard more of Grace’s explanation before
forcing her to apologize for what she said in class. Being
a believer or not everyone should have the right to speak
for yourself and explain his/her side fully.
5. Do you think the decision for teacher Grace can be the same
in the Philippine situation? Why? (refer explanation from
article XIV Section 3 of Philippine Constitution)
Yes, the decision would be the same if it happened here in
the Philippines. As stated on the article religion shall be
allowed to be taught in schools . In our country everyone
can freely express their beliefs. Whatever your religion is
as long as you’re not hurting someone or anyone it is okay.

6. Give your favorite and most significant line or quote from
the movie.
“I prefer to stand with God and be judge by the world, than
to stand with the world and be judge by God.”
This is the most significant for me because in anyway
possible whatever it is struggling with, whatever problem I
have I will also be like Grace. I’ll pay and continue
standing with God no matter what. I am a believer and I am
proud to say God is not Dead
