AIM:
The day is not far when all the movements will be reduced to nothing
but autonomous bots following a set of paths to complete tasks
assigned to them. Taking a step towards that goal we bring to you
...
Event Structure
The event will be organized in two stages. The winner will be decided
on the basis of the points scored by the robot in the all the
tries taken by the bot.
Event Rules
* The bot will be placed initially behind the line marked as ‘START’.
* The lines of the track will be 3cm thick(it’s advisable to keep room
of 2mm for placement of sensors), black in colour on white
background).
* There will be no more than three trials for the team to perform.
* One trial will be declared to be finished if the bot gets stuck
in some part of the arena or goes out of the track.
*The marking scheme will be provided on the spot, with main focus
on the check points which would be the sections completely
traversed by the bot.
*In case of a tie, the time taken by the bots to cover the track
would be given preference.
*After the end of a trial the new trial will begin at the last
check point reached by the bot and will cost deduction of
points.
*Teams are required to bring their own programming kit
which includes burner, laptop etc.
*The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above
rules as they deem fit.
* Team Specifications: A team may consist of a maximum of 4
members. Students from different educational institutes can form a
team.
* Eligibility: All students with a valid identity card of their
respective educational institutes are eligible to participate.
Bot Specifications
* The robot should be able to fit in a box of dimensions 30 cm *
30 cm * 20 cm.
* There is no constraint on the weight of the bot.
*The bot should be fully autonomous in its operation.
*Use of Lego Kits is not allowed.
*Teams using wired power source are required to bring their own
battery eliminator and extension cord as well. However the
university is not responsible if it could not provide accessible power
points. Extra points will be awarded to the team with on board
power source.
