What I Have Learned (Activity 4: Generalization)

In what way is ICT very useful in your studies?

 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education is the mode of education that use information and
communications technology to support, enhance, and optimize the delivery of information. ICT also allows us
students to monitor and manage our own learning, thinking critically and creatively, solve simulated real-world
problems, work collaboratively, engage in ethical decision-making, and adopt a global perspective towards issues
and ideas. ICT also helps me to have access with information that are available online. It helps me in my
assignments, researches and other school works. It helps me communicate with my classmates and teachers faster
and easier. Through the use of social media and other online platforms, I could ask and talk to my classmates and
teachers when I have concerns and questions. ICT offers convenient way to study, especially during these pandemic
times. I can listen to lectures even when I am at home. ICT makes me send files and my school works. I don’t have to
spend much buying school supplies since some of the requirements are through online and digital files that are just
one click away.

LESSON 2
What I Have Learned (Activity 3: Generalization)

1. How do you keep yourself safe and secure online?

 I always make sure that both my phone and my laptop are protected by the anti-virus app that are installed in my
gadgets. I don’t share too much personal information especially private ones about myself on any of my social
medias like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or even YouTube. I don’t reply on people who I don’t know nor do I accept
their calls online. Trusting is very difficult for me especially when we’re talking about social medias or online
websites, I always make sure that the sites I go to are harmless and appropriate to avoid hackers and viruses to get
through any of my accounts/gadgets. Instead of putting my private information like passwords, emails and card
numbers on my phone’s notes so I won’t forget it, I’ll write it down on my book where it is hidden safely in my
wardrobe. I don’t post pictures that are inappropriate and lewd nor send them to anyone so that someday they can
blackmail me about posting it online and sharing it to my friends and families because I’m not that low of a human
being.

2. Why is it important to observe netiquette online?

 Netiquette Online is a set of rules that encourages appropriate and courteous online behavior. These rules are
important as they promote communication skills, prevent miscommunications, and helps you understand what is
socially acceptable when working and collaborating online.
