Answer the following questions comprehensively.

1. A vision statement conveys the institution's desire to succeed. What is your school's vision
statement and how can you help your school to achieve it?

VISION: “Baliuag University aims to be an educational leader in the region, respected and
recognized in the Philippines and abroad for its academic excellence, achievements research,
commitment to community service, and pioneering technological advancement.”

-Achieving your institution's vision is indeed a challenge difficult to reach but is certainly
not impossible. However, it is only achievable by a concerted and united effort among the school's
stakeholders, including students like me. As I endeavor to become the person I want to be upon
graduation, I am also responsible for helping my school become what it envisions to be since its
image will be the reflection of mine, too. So, I can do that by practicing in real life what I learn in the
four corners of the classroom. I will make my every life occasion my real-life classroom and will
adhere to the standards set by my school in everything that I do every day of my life. That way, I
mirror my school's success to mine and that's how I can help my school achieve its vision.

2. A mission statement id a short explanation of the institution's purpose and intention for
existence. State your school's mission and explain how you can contribute to its success.

MISSION: “As a recognized leader in affordable, quality education In Baliuag and its surrounding
communities, Baliuag University offers programs that are responsive to the times yet rooted in
heritage and humanistic values. Its graduates realize their aspirations as well as society’s greater
good. Its employees strive to ever greater heights of academic and ethical excellence. And its
research and outreach programs address issues relevant to the communities it serves.”

-I can help the school in fulfilling its mission by being one with the school in executing its
policies to the internal and external stakeholders. I should be one with the school in adhering to its
existing policies and help them realize all its endeavors. I will work together with the entire school
community so that united as one, we can all make our plans into reality.

-Integrity is an important trait to have in our academic and professional life. In
school, good student-teacher relationships come from mutual respect and trust, and
those relationships can lead to great references and recommendations. Learn how to
implement honesty and integrity in the classroom in order to be the best student and
person you can be.
S: ervice
I can show service by initiative. You help and serve not because you were asked
to, but because you know there is a need and you’re lending out your hand without
anyone telling you to do so. I will lend a helping hand by doing things for others without
asking anything in return. Humble servanthood will be my guiding principle because
that’s what service is all about.
E: xcellence
Hook up with people who are the best in the field and learn from them. They
have the best practices, insights and tips which will be extremely valuable in your pursuit
of excellence. Rather than trying to learn everything from scratch, it’s easier to leverage
on the learnings from others and build on from there. This will jumpstart your learning
curve by a huge degree.

Perhaps the most powerful attribute a student can attain is respect for teachers
and fellow students. That's a little different from aspiring to be respected oneself. I
know many teachers who seek respect and don't quite get it. I can think of none
who've worked consistently to be respectful of students who did not also gain
students' respect.
