I work as a nurse in a Griya hospital. I go to the hospital every morning by


motorcycle with my friend. Arriving at the hospital, I greet another nurse in the nurse
stations and tidy up the things I brought from home. The first thing I do as a nurse is to check
the patient data for which I will give intervention. I prepare myself by preparing all the tools
and deepening my ability to intervene in patients. After it was felt that I had mastered the
action then I wash my hands and go to the patient's room.
In the patient`s room I always greet the patient first and introduce myself to the
patient. I ask about the complaints felt by the patient today to take appropriate action. I
provide nursing care by observing and monitoring the patient's condition. Then I check the
patient's temperature and check his breathing. I record information and data from patients to
assist in making treatment decisions.
I also provide services to the next patients. The first what I do is introduce myself to
the patient. Then I check blood pressure and take a patient's blood sample for blood donation
data. I help the patient to change his sleeping position. Next I tidy up the patient's bed and
change the sheets.
After that I go to the other patient`s room to provide therapeutic communication
services. The patient looks so sad that I ask him to talk and find a solution to his problem. I
pat the patient on the shoulder trying to make the patient comfortable to talk. I also check the
patient's breathing and body movements to make sure the patient is feeling restless or not.
Don’t forget. I write all the patient conditions that I treat in the nursing care data and patient
progress book.
It does not feel when serving patients the day has shown night. Then it's time to
change shifts with other nurses. I provide explanations about my intervention today and
patient data to the next shift nurse. Then I cleaned myself up and tidy up my things and go to
home with my friends.
