1. What is NSTP stands for?

National Service Training Program (NSTP) aims to raise civic awareness. NSTP is a program created to
foster young people's physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social development as well as to
advance defense readiness and service ethics.

2. What is CWTS stands for?

The Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) is one of three components of the National Service Training
Program, a civic education and defense readiness program for higher and vocational education students
in the Philippines. It encourages activities that contribute to the general welfare and improvement of
the quality of life for community members. The Civic Welfare Training Service is focused on initiatives
that could improve "health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation, and civic
morals," so the CWTS component of the NSTP emphasized the significance of youth participation in
comprehensive initiatives or activities that will benefit the public. While the CWTS concentrated on
initiatives to improve peoples' quality of life.

instruction, research and production.
3. To complement the academic programs with holistic and integrated student personnel services.
4. To develop a pool of qualified, professional and motivated faculty in the areas of instruction, research,
and community extension.
5. To ensure effective administration and supervision of instructional and learning resources in support
of the academic programs.
6. To provide an environment that is safe, functional and conducive to teaching, learning and working.
7. To ensure operations which are collaborative, sustainable, efficient and effective in meeting the needs
of the institution and its stakeholders.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COLLEGE OF NURSING


In consonance with the vision, mission, goals and core values of the University of Cebu, the College of
Nursing aims to:
1. create a teaching-learning environment that fosters productivity and satisfaction among its
stakeholders;
2. produce graduates imbued with knowledge, skills and attitudes that make them potent movers in
their fields of practice, thus, creating an impact that characterizes a UC product who:
 Respect God, man and creation;
 Is morally upright and concerned citizen;
 Responds to the health needs of society and participates in community activities geared towards
the total development of man;
 updates him/herself continually with current trends and issues; and
 integrates research and technology in his/her personal and professional pursuits;
3. position them as eventual employees and entrepreneurs of health care agencies in the local and
international arena.
