Introduction
Nobody wants to experience a break-in at their home or business.
However, it is challenging for anyone to be on guard constantly to defend their
property. This easy-to-use tool, the Smart Burglar Alarm, assists in this case
by sounding an alarm whenever an unauthorized entry is made into a secured
area. This smart alarm system helps the owner to recognize possible intrusion
and raising an alarm in entire house. Similarly, the owner can get an urgent
mail or sms if there is a probable burglary occurred. The working principle of
this project is solely based on Arduino UNO R3, it is already programmed
whenever the PIR sensor senses the motion of intruder, it will automatically
send a signal towards the Piezo served as a buzzer of the entire circuit.

PIR Sensor A passive infrared sensor is an

electronic sensor that measures

in its field of view

Piezo is a type of electronic device that's

used to produce a tone, alarm or
sound.

LED A light-emitting diode is a

semiconductor light source that
emits light when current flows
through it.
Resistor A resistor is a passive two-terminal
electrical component that implements
electrical resistance as a circuit
element.

Arduino UNO R3 The Arduino Uno is an open-source

microcontroller board based on the
Microchip ATmega328P
microcontroller and developed by
Arduino.cc and initially released in
2010.
Breadboard A thin plastic board used to hold
electronic components (transistors,
resistors, chips, etc.) that are wired
together.

Wires a flexible metallic conductor,

especially one made of copper,
usually insulated, and used to carry
electric current in a circuit.
 Project Background

The Statement of the Problem

This study aimed to determine the use of security alarm systems in
mitigating possible intrusion or burglary in:
o Industrial areas such as offices, warehouses, and factories
o Storage facilities
o Residential homes and garages
o Commercial premises including shops, restaurants, and hotels
Specifically, it intended to answer the following questions
1. What is a Burglar Alarm System?
2. How Does a Burglar Alarm Work?
3. How does a Security Alarm System Help Prevent Possible
Intrusion or Burglary?

4. What Future Studies can be Done Based on the Findings of the

Study?

o To utilize PIR Sensor and Piezo as an Alarm System together with the
Arduino.
o To see the efficacy of the project design.
Unique Value Proposition and Unfair Advantage

Burglary occurs when a person unlawfully breaks into another's

residence with the intent to commit a felony crime while within. The most
common felony crime committed during a burglary is larceny, but some
burglars intend to commit violent crimes like rape or assault.

Every second counts when a burglary takes place. If a crime happens,

minutes and seconds are what separate you from safety. In order to keep your
home secure against the unwanted event of burglaries, The Smart Burglar
Alarm was developed, it is an electrical device which is placed inside the
premises. This system has a loop of copper wire which is laid at the entrance of
the secured area. When an intruder steps in breaking the loop, an electrical
circuit will be connected across the loop and all connected devices.

This is a simple, low-cost security device for homes, offices and shops
which alerts the user about unwanted intrusion. Better than a CCTV Camera
and free from monthly maintenance charges.

Keeping your office and home safe is not just a concern but also a
priority. The main features of the Smart Alarm Burglar Alarm System are:

- When an intruder steps in breaking the loop, the system activates an alarm
connected to the system. In this case all surrounding houses are also alerted
about all such breach of security at one house and a loud siren will occur.

- SMS Alert System for your Premises: Smart Burglar Alarm is the missing link
in your safety system. It can be used in offices, commercial establishments,
factories, farmhouses, residential houses, and other places where it is required
to alert the people inside a premises of intrusion/burglary taking place in or
near the premises. It is installed at vulnerable entry and exit points preventing
unauthorized entry into the premises. The SMS message confirms a burglary,
and this helps the Police and the owner in taking an appropriate action in time.

Executive Summary

 According to PNA (Philippine News Agency), A total of 995 cases of theft

were recorded in March, an 8.03 percent jump from 921 in February.
 Through a hot pursuit operation, police authorities arrested a 31-year-
old Robbery with Homicide suspect in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on June
06, 2022.
 MANILA – The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and
Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) said it is set to file charges against the eight
police officers who were arrested on Wednesday over a robbery incident
victimizing seven Chinese nationals and a Filipina in Angeles City,
Pampanga.

The aforementioned are just a few of the reasons why protecting our home is
important. Sometimes we don't pay attention to our surroundings, and we
don't know when a burglary or intrusion might occur. Cities' increasing crime
rates reflect the harsh reality. Many people overlook, dismiss, or undervalue
the importance of implementing appropriate home security measures. A
burglary or theft can have devastating emotional and financial consequences.
While the financial loss may be recoverable, the trauma inflicted on your family
and you may last a lifetime. Home is supposed to be the safest place for
everyone, but how can we be sure of that if we don't take any steps to make it
safer? [Insert objectives and functions of the project.

 A digital marketing flyer, on the other hand, is similar, and can be

increase revenue by building customer networks and advertising. Moreover, it
is very suitable for our target customers. Social media marketing will make it
easy to spread the word about your products and mission. Helps Understand

PEOPLE

ADULT we target this type of people because it is applicable on their

needs. Especially it can be safer for their children or their houses when they
buy our product. We cater larger amount of product so that it is affordable
and convenient for them. Example is that people who needs to venture new
types of condominium, houses or even apartment since they must invest
affordable product for their new houses or existing properties. it is very
applicable for them also they can afford to buy it. Furthermore, it is applicable
on normal resident that need to save power / energy consumption on their
houses especially to those people prioritizing security at their houses.

Market Opportunity

The design and utilization of felony market opportunity the good factor
concerning this product once there is a trespasser in your house or place, they
will simply contact the emergency hotline and the owner of the house. There
are some materials that is tend to other to the merchandise to boost its
security from the intruder. The great thing that they will get from this product
is even they're within the job and much from home their properties is safe from
the intruder.

In each neighborhood, the householders should have this alert system.

Some competitors are begun to build like this device. Moreover, the researchers
needed to feature up a SMS responsive to build it a lot of secured. at the side of
the partnership, it'll make an excellent security to those that live alone.
Furthermore, the one whose invariably busy and nobody are within their
houses. To produce a useful device, to convey comport, to feel safe and to
secure the house, even the people that live within the house that have a
burglary alert.

This product is helpful if there aren't any individuals present in your

home because, in sure cases, individuals leave for work or alternative activities,
deed their homes empty. It will guarantee your home's safety and security. If
there are any theft attempts, it mechanically warns the owner and informs the
emergency hotlines.

The researchers conducted a survey through google forms, by the result

of it, the respondents want to have a security for their home. Therefore, people
who answered the survey demands that their home be secured from the
intruders.
