PROJECT PROPOSAL

WHAT IS PROJECT PROPOSAL?

Project proposal is a guide for both the trainees and trainees in attaining task while they are in
community immersion. It serves as a basis of designing program of activities and key instruments and inputs
in monitoring and evaluating the projects to be undertaken in the community.

IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT PROPOSAL

1. It guides trainees and trainors in designing a program for the clientele.


2. It facilitates implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the projects.
3. It serves as database in making reports as a requirement to the course.
4. It makes a work easier for it serves as reference for trainees’ to give the right information needed for
the project.
5. It serves as ready source of data for research work.

PARTS OF PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR IMMERSION PROJECTS

There are various formats used in the preparation of a project proposal. This is the one of the designs
followed. It elicits the following information:

A. Title
The title of the project must capture the need and present the name of clientele to be served. It
must be catchy to the readers.
Examples:
 Project Barangay CARe-A-VAN (CARe-A-Veritable Action for Neighbor)
 Project STAND (Street Artist: No to Drugs)
 Project AGREE (Agricultural Gardening for the Restoration of the Earth and
Environment)
 Metro Art KKK (Kalinisan, Kalikasan at Kalusugan)
B. Project Proponent
This part enumerates the name of person to be involved in the project, their year level, contact,
address, leader and members. If there are several activities that require several leaders in every
undertaking, names must be specified per activity.
C. Project Duration
Specify how many training days needed to complete the project. Specify when the project will
commence and when it be finished. Attached a Gantt Chart of activity on the length of the project.
D. Objectives of the Project
Objective must be SMART:
 Specific
 Measurable
1
 Attainable
 Realistic
 Time bound
E. Project Description
A. Background of the Project
B. Justification of the Project
C. Benefits Derived from the Project
D. Coverage
F. Methodology
G. Detailed Budgetary Requirements
H. Detailed Schedule of Activities
