Step 1
Iron interfacing to the backside of the front waistline
behind the button hole marking.
Sew two buttonholes with a 1/2” / 1,25 cm opening.
Cut them open.
Step 2
Fold the leg RSF and sew the inseam together. Start at
the hem. From the knee to the crotch, the back inseam
must be stretched to match the front inseam.
Repeat on the other leg.
7
Step 3
Turn one leg right side out.
Place one leg inside the other, aligning the crotch and the
notches on the back rise.
Sew the legs together at the rise seam.
Serge or Zigzag
Step 4
Create a circle with the elastic. Overlap the ends by 3/4”
/ 2 cm. Sew the elastic ends together with a three point
zigzag.
Place the elastic against the wrong side of the waistline
and serge or zigzag the elastic to the waist.
The elastic is shorter than the waist circumference.
Pull on the elastic to distribute the difference evenly.
8
Step 5
Fold the elastic down once, and sew it to the pants with a
three point zigzag or a straight seam.
Step 6
Cut the drawstring according to the measurement chart.
Fold and sew the drawstring lengthwise RSF. Turn it right
side out.
Use a safety pin (or other tool) to thread the drawstring
through the buttonholes in the waistline.
Tie knots to the end of the cord.
