Description of levels
Needs help level: A student gets 1 as a final session score. He/She shows tech savvy to interact with the
class but lack of knowledge and practice does not allow him/her to perform orally in the level.
Needs some help level: A student gets 2 as a final session score. This is not a passing grade. He/She
shows tech savvy to interact with the class but has little knowledge and practice that do not allow him/her
to perform orally well in the level.
In progress level: A student gets 3 as a final session score. The student shows tech savvy to interact with
the class but it’s clear that he/she has not completed all previous work and often struggles to perform
orally at the level.
Good level: A student gets 4 as a final session score. The student shows tech savvy to interact orally with
the class and it’s clear that he/she has completed previous work. However, he/she needs reinforcement
and additional practice in the topics discussed.
Very good level: A student gets 5 as a final session score. The student shows tech savvy to interact with
the class and it’s clear that he/she has completed previous work. He/She can perform oral tasks easily and
shows an excellent command of vocabulary and grammar structures.
* Tech savvy must be a prerequisite to take part in synchronous sessions. Teacher may be flexible during the
first sessions as students get used to the platform.
