What is a caption?
A caption, also known as a cutline, is a text that
appears below an image. Most captions draw
attention to something in the image that is not
obvious, such as its relevance to the text.
Captions can consist of a few words of description,
or several sentences. The purpose of caption text is
to help reader understand information that may not
be in the text.
The Function of Caption
1. Provide Information to Complete The Picture:
to provide additional information and complete a photo. So, we
can't just insert captions into articles and end up making our
readers not understand.
2. Establish Credibility:
Add credibility to a photo, image, video, table, or graph presented
so that it looks more real.
3. Promote Better Engagement:
To make people interested in seeing the photo and understanding
it.
