Learner Participation has been an imminent way of achieving
developmental goals, especially those related to academic areas.
Learner-leaders can develop cross-cutting key competencies for
sustainability that are relevant to all SDGs. They can also develop
specific learning outcomes needed to work on achieving a particular
SDG. The approach follows the general idea of mainstreaming the
SDGs in education systems, in which it will be beneficial for learners
to contribute meaningfully to crafting local plans that will help achieve
the SDGs before 2030.
XI. Terminal Objective:
To mainstream the SDGs in DepEd Schools and to have a
comprehensive plan for achieving the 17 Sustainable Developmental
Goals of the United Nations.
XII. Enabling Objectives:
To provide a venue for sharing, using, and reusing knowledge
within learner-leader through conducting key competencies of
SDGs.
To introduce to learners the importance of learner participation in
the active crafting of scholastic comprehensive plans as part of the
education for sustainable development under UNESCO.
To strengthen the learner-led programs that have a conducive
impact on learners especially to mitigate the problems that affect
the education of learners.
XIII. Expected Outputs:
Approved Annual Plan in achieving the key competencies of the 17
SDGs guided by the Education for Sustainable Development of
UNESCO.
