VIDEO TUTORIAL

IN-DEPTH LOOK INTO QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

VALUE 5%

Objective

Create a short video tutorial that effectively communicates information on a topic of your choice.

Instructions

1. Choose a topic from the reading assignment concerning data analysis with JASP that interests you and is

relevant to the class. You can choose any of the following topics (you must choose the topic through a

list to avoid repetition):

1. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation)

2. Parametric correlation

3. Nonparametric correlation

4. Parametric one-sample t-test

5. Nonparametric one-sample t-test

6. Parametric independent samples t-test (Student)

7. Parametric independent samples t-test (Welch)


8. Nonparametric independent samples t-test

9. Parametric paired samples t-test

10. Nonparametric paired samples t-test

2. Research your chosen topic thoroughly and gather relevant information.

3. Create a short video tutorial (2 minutes tops) in which you present the data analysis procedure using

JASP. You may use any video editing software of your choice, such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, or

Adobe Premiere. You may use Artificial Intelligence tools as well. Be creative and use visuals, text, and

sound to enhance the impact of your analysis.

4. Make sure your video tutorial is easy to understand and engaging to the audience.

5. Submit your final project in a digital format, along with a brief description of the topic and the data

sources used.

Grading criteria

Your project will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Relevance and quality of the video clip chosen

• Clarity and depth of analysis using the course concept or theme

• Creativity and effectiveness of the video clip presentation


• Adherence to the instructions and deadlines

Submission

• Deadline: April 24, 2024, at 22:00

• Submit your final project in a digital format via the Moodle platform, along with the description and data

sources, by the deadline specified.

• Name the file according to the following example: Florez-Moreno_Tutorial

• Note: Fraud will not be tolerated and will result in a grade of zero for the assignment. Make sure to

properly cite all sources used in your research.
