WORK SPECIFICATIONS

1. GENERAL CONDITIONS

1.1 General Provisions

All work herein shall be executed by administration under the reliable Project Engineer. The said
Project Engineer shall execute the work in accordance with the plans and specification hereinafter,
and the supervision be performed by the Certified Civil Engineer.

1.2 Furnishing of Materials

All materials shall be furnished and brought to the site by the contractor. All materials shall be in
good condition. Any of the materials found to be defective shall be made good or replaced in kind,
as the case may be.

1.3 Temporary Light and Water

Temporary light and water for use in this job shall be provided.

1.4 Owner’s/ Project Engineer’s Responsibilities on Premises and Adjoining Properties

The owner/ engineer shall conduct the work as will produce the least disturbances and if possible
without inconvenience to the adjoining property.

1.5 Clearing Up

At all times, the owner/ engineer shall keep the premises from the accumulation of waste
materials. At completion of the work, he shall remove all rubbish and leave work room finished or
clean all glass, finishing hardware, electrical and plumbing fixtures free from stains and spots.

2. EXCAVATION, FILLING and SHAPING WORKS

2.1 General Requirements

a. Take necessary excavation for foundations to grade as indicated on drawings. Trim excavation
bottoms properly.
b. Footing shall not be placed on fill.
c. No pouring of concrete shall be done without the approval of the Project Engineer or duly
assigned representative.
d. Fill shall be good quality suitable for fillings and well-tempered before pouring of concrete slabs
e. Accurately grade all fixers to required levels.

3. CONCRETE and MASONRY WORKS

All aggregates to be used shall be clean, hard, uncoated, with dirt and free from dust, lumps, and
other deleterious substances.

All concrete works shall be done in accordance with the approved standard plans and
specifications for concrete and reinforced concrete as adopted by the Philippine Government, unless
otherwise specified

Class “A” Mixture (1:2:4) - for column footing, columns, wall footing
and beams

Class “B” Mixture (1:2.5:5) - for floorings

Cement Mortar (1:3) - for CHB laying, plastering, and other mixtures
Applicable in finishing works
Cement, 40 kgs, - Portland

Sand (S-1) - Wash

Gravel (G-1) - Crushed (3/4”) diameter)

Filling Materials - Selected borrow

CHB - 4” and 6”

Floorings - Plain Cement

Outside Finishing - Plain Cement Finish

Reinforcing Steel Bars - Deformed, Standard

Reinforcing Ties - Standard

4. CARPENTRY WORKS

Quality of lumber shall be of the best grade available required for the various part of the work,
well-seasoned, thoroughly dry and free from loose or unsound knots, imperfections, impairing its
strength , durability and appearances.

5. PLUMBING WORKS

All plumbing fixtures, fitting accessories, materials and all works necessary for the proper
functioning of all installation, whether or not specifically call for in the specifications as indicated in the
drawings are included in this work.

7. ELECTRICAL WORKS

All works to be undertaken shall conform to the latest provisions regulations, and ordinances of
the National Electrical Code.

No electrical wirings and installations shall be exposed to masonry surfaces. Porcelain split
knobs on open wiring along ceilings shall be provided and no 10Thw wire, 220 volts for service
conductor shall be use. Wiring shall be conceded or along wooden surfaces and caps on service
conductors shall be provided.
