What is Van
Mohotsav ?
Van Mahotsav, meaning "Forest Festival," is an
annual tree-planting movement in India.
It was initiated in 1950 by K. M. Munshi, then
the Union Minister for Agriculture and Food.
The festival spans a week, typically celebrated
in the first week of July, aiming to create
awareness about the importance of forests
and trees in maintaining ecological balance.
It encourages individuals, communities, and
organizations to plant trees and participate in
activities that promote environmental
conservation and sustainability.

Call to Action :
Create a Difference!
Take Positive Action
We urge everyone to join the Van Mahotsav initiative by
planting a tree today, contributing to a sustainable and
greener future for all. Let's make a difference together!
Even if we do not plant a tree , we can look after
our environment by simply doing small things like not
using plastic bags , turning off the unnecessary light and
fans of our household or just telling family members or
friends about climate change and its effects.
