Executive Summary

The partnership namely, Kenith Gordonas, Aeron Maarat, Charlemagne


Mapoy, Eldrin Kim Francis Melis, developed and formed the DeliGo. The goal is to
provide delivery services to suit our people’s needs, maximizing comfortability in
accordance to profit for expansion of the company.

Their business, specifically DeliGo, will primarily provide land express


delivery services for parcels, documents, and packages to individuals and businesses
in Surigao City. As the number of individuals who have access to the internet grows,
more people are anticipated to utilize e-commerce platforms, and a greater quantity of
things will need to be delivered via online pick-up and drop-off services. Their
company's aim is to become a prominent courier and distribution service provider in
Surigao City. Also, they will guarantee that any service delivery that they manage is
competitive with the best in the business in terms of time and safety.

DeliGo will go to great measures to prepare our business to compete favorably


for accessible market share in the online business with DeliGo in Services Industry.
The following is a list of services that we offer to our customers:

Background and History

DeliGo was established by the partnership of various individuals that were


residents in Surigao City. Partnership was composed of four individuals namely
Kenith Gordonas, Aeron Maarat, Charlemagne Mapoy, Eldrin Kim Francis Melis.
This business was conceptualized on the year 2019. This business was formed
because of the challenge the pandemic has given to the public especially in the City
of Surigao. Moreover, the uprising use of internet that leads people to shop online
and/or get services via online pick-up and drop-off. Store-to-store and home-to-home
services are in demand and was the reason of pursuing this type of business.

Description of Service

DeliGo offers land express delivery services for parcels, documents, and
packages store-to-store and home-to-home intra and inter Surigao City. Delivery
charges are specified in the table below.

Market Description

DeliGo will market into a distinct category, namely land-based delivery


services. This business plan will look at this market.

Delivery Service: Delivery services existed as far as 1945 in the Philippines.


The market has then increased in recent years. Starting from LBC Express, we now
have brands such as Ninja Van and J&T Express. With the current situation dealing
with the pandemic, the amount of customer has decently increased along with the
workload to deal with it.

Competition

Presently, while there are already a lot of delivery services available to the
general public. These services have since existed for a while and has established their
brand, such as Ninja Van and J&T Express to name a few.
The strength that these services have are brand recognition and their track
record. With these brands being recognizable, newer customers tend to flock to them.

While the weakness of such service are the delays of delivery. One reason out
of many for the delays are the increased workloads that these services experience as
they continue to grow.

Marketing Strategies

The area of the online business will be located at Barangay Rizal, Surigao City.
Also, it can easily determine or visit the shop since it is easy to locate because it is
near in the high way of the Barangay Rizal Hall. This area can also be benefits since a
lot of customers will pass by in the area.

DeliGo mainly targets Filipino customers, enterprises, and the community at


large. Extending our services through the availability and convenient means of who
sell and buy through online. Thus, makes it easier for the customers to drop their
courier in the store and be it pick-up in the store or delivered at home.

Online Business with DeliGo will have a web page, Facebook page or any
other social media platforms where we can post details about our business where
people will see it including the delivery processes and services we offered and we
will also use social media for advertising and promoting our business as a way of
convincing and persuading customers.

Process selection and facility layout

Simplified flow of the delivery process for our delivery company:

1. Order Placement:
- Customers place orders through the company's website, mobile app, or call center.
- Orders include details such as delivery address, item description, delivery time
preferences, and any special instructions.

2. Order Processing:
- Upon receiving an order, the system verifies payment, checks item availability,
and assigns a unique tracking number.
- Orders are categorized based on delivery urgency and destination.

3. Route Optimization:
- The delivery management software optimizes delivery routes based on factors
such as distance, traffic conditions, and delivery time windows.
- Routes are assigned to delivery vehicles and drivers.

4. Warehouse Preparation:
- Warehouse staff pick and pack items from inventory based on the orders
scheduled for delivery.
- Packages are labeled with tracking numbers and destination addresses.

5. Loading:
- Packed packages are loaded onto delivery vehicles, ensuring that fragile items are
handled with care and heavy items are properly secured.

6. Delivery:
- Drivers follow their assigned routes, navigating to each delivery location using
GPS navigation tools.
- Upon arrival at each destination, drivers verify the recipient's identity, obtain
signatures if required, and hand over the packages.
- Drivers may also collect payments for cash-on-delivery orders.

7. Tracking and Communication:


- Customers can track the status of their deliveries in real-time through the
company's website or mobile app using their unique tracking numbers.

Supply Chain Management Process

DeliGo focuses on delivery, the effectiveness of their business is based on


delivery. Every delivery operation is very important. In each assembly of delivery
operation there is one supervisor and 10 drivers working for 6-8 hours a day. The
supplies to be delivered is wrapped and stored in the delivery bag and will be
distributed to the customer once the driver reached the location of the customer.
DeliGo is responsible for the safety of whatever supply is to be delivered and the
amount of supply they only can deliver. The company does not only guarantee the
safety of the supplies but also provide the customers quick and time efficient
delivery. To assure the safety of the drivers, they will be deployed to deliver in the
earliest time possible so that the drivers wouldn’t be pressured by the time and would
be able to drive in a safety recommended speed limit. The company has implemented
a speed limit of 50 to the drivers, to avoid accidents and damages.

Manufacturing/Service Plans

DeliGo manufacturing process uses many strategies of manufacturing to assure


the safety of the products that needs to be delivered in their respective locations. The
supplies to be delivered is wrapped and stored in the delivery bag, but before they put
the supply in the delivery bag, they assure that they already wrapped the supplies with
bubble wrap and will be put into a box to assure the safety of these products. In terms
of documents before it is placed in the delivery bag, to assure that the documents
wouldn’t get damaged and got wet it will be first place inside a water proof plastic
box and will be wrapped and then placed in the delivery bag. That way the documents
wouldn’t get damaged in the day of delivering operation. Before the drivers get
released for delivering, there will be a final inspection by the supervisor to assure the
safety of the products to be delivered. Once the inspection is done then will be the
time the riders is released for the operation.

DeliGo operations work their way up from the bottom of the organization to the top.
