ATTENTION
CERTAIN CLARIFICATIONS ISSUED – UG MEDICAL AND DENTAL ADMISSION.
Based on the representations received from the students through telephonic
enquiries, E-mails and Personal representations, Tamil Nadu Medical Selection
Committee issues the following clarifications:
1. Payment of Security Deposit for Management Quota for SC,
SCA, ST & SCC candidates:
It is clarified that the payment of Security Deposit in case
of Management Quota for candidates belonging to SC, SCA, ST
and SCC candidates will be waived of if the income of the
parents is less than 2.5 lakhs per annum (Income certificate is
mandatory for such candidates).
2. Resignation in Round 2 beyond the stipulated date:
It is clarified that if the students who are allotted in
Round 2, if they do not join the allotted college or if they resign
the Joined institution before the stipulated resignation date,
they will be allowed free exit, meaning there will be no forfeiture
of any fees, but if the candidate resigns or discontinues after
the stipulated date for resignation in round two or in later
rounds, they will have to forfeit the security deposit and Tuition
fees already paid and also pay the discontinuation fee as
mentioned in the Prospectus of Government Quota clause 23
and clause 20 of the prospectus Management Quota.
3. Requirement of Eligibility Certificate:
Regarding eligibility certificate, the candidates who have
qualified in boards other than Tamil Nadu state board, CBSE
and ISCE boards, only have to produce the eligibility certificate.
