Requires “Lecturers” on Contract Basis for Government Tool Room & Training Centre
GTTC is functioning under Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood
Department, offering courses in Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Precision Manufacturing,
Mechatronics, Electronics and Short Term Training Programmes
Applications are invited from the candidates for appointment on contract basis for the
following Lecturer posts from talented aspirants having communication, interpersonal,
technical, problem solving capabilities and imparting skilled technical training to the

1) Age Limit as on the date of notification :
Maximum : (a) 40 Years in case of SC, ST & Category –I
(b) 38 Years in case of OBC: and
(c) 35 Years in case of GM / others.
2) Mode of Selection:
i] Based on Merit-cum-roster system.
ii] Paper -I (Technical) : Candidates satisfying educational qualifications & teaching experience
will be called for computer based test (Objective Multiple Choice questions) for 100 marks.
Candidates must secure 50 marks in order to qualify for interview. The merit list shall be drawn
based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written test (Paper-I).
a) The question paper for lecturer short term course ([Link] 1 to 4) will be based on respective
bachelor of Engineering / Degree discipline and question paper for Long term course ([Link] 5
& 6) will be based on respective Master degree.
b) For the [Link] 7 Lecturer post, the question paper will be based on respective bachelor
degree of Science / Mathematics.
iii] Paper II (Kannada and English language): Question paper is computer based test (Objective
Multiple Choice questions) for 100 marks. Minimum passing 35 marks to be secured to
become eligible for interview. Language paper is purely qualifying in nature and shall not
be considered while deriving the merit list.
iv) Interview: 25 Marks
a) Skill Test Marks for 15
b) Interview Marks for 05
c) Weightage Marks for 05
v] The number of candidates called for written test is 1:20 with reference to the number of
posts notified.
vi] The number of candidates called for Interview is 1:5 with reference to the number of posts
notified.
3) Weightage of 0.5 marks for every completed year of teaching experience in GTTC subject to a
maximum of 5 marks will be given to the candidates in the interview.
4) Duration of contract period is one year from the date appointment, which can be extended
based on the assessment of individual’s performance and requirement.

8) Candidates shall bring original documents for verification at the time of Interview.
9) Last date for submission of applications is 16-01-2024, before 5.00 PM.
10) Computer based written test for the eligible candidates will be conducted on 20-01-2024 to
23-01-2024 (Saturday to Tuesday).
11) Short listed candidates will be intimated with date and venue/place of interview.
12) Candidates selected for the above said centres are liable to be posted for any centre of GTTC
across the State.
13) Applicant should have the knowledge of writing and speaking in Kannada.
