Bring out sample magazines. It would be best to show Filipino children’s magazines, or magazines in the
learners’ L1 if available.
Pass around magazine samples if available. Have children describe what they see.
If no magazines are available, present a downloadable version of a magazine, a digital copy of a magazine,
or pictures of Filipino magazines.
Present the following parts of a magazine:
- magazine cover
- article titles
- date of publication
- table of contents
- advertisements

Explain the main differences between magazines and books.
Say:
Ano ang Pagkakaiba ng Magasin at Libro?
1. Hitsura
- Ang magasin ay madalas makulay at maraming larawan. Manipis lang ito at mas magaang kaysa libro.
2. Laman
- Ang magasin ay may iba't ibang artikulo o kwento na madalas maikli lang. May mga laro, comics, at mga
pahina na may mga litrato ng mga tao, hayop, at lugar.
3. Petsa ng Paglabas
- Ang magasin ay lumalabas kada linggo, buwan, o minsan kada dalawang buwan. Ibig sabihin, laging may
bagong magasin na puwede mong basahin.
