PAST SIMPLE TENSE (Koha e Kryer e Thjeshte/ koha e shkuar)
IRREGULAR VERBS (Foljet e parregullta)
The simple past is used to describe an action that happened and was completed in the past. (Koha e Kryer e
Thjeshte tregon nje veprim i cili ka perfunduar ne te shkuaren, pra veprimi ka perfunduar)
Irregular verbs in the simple past do not end in –ed. (Foljet e parregullta ne kohen e Kryer te Thjeshte
nuk marrin – ed ne fund)
EXP: Alison came home by train. The simple past of come is came NOT camed.
(Koha e Kryer e Thjeshte e foljes Come (vi) eshte Came (erdha) por asnjehere Camed.
To form the past tense of the irregular verbs, we change completely the structure (root) of the verbs .
(Per te formuar kohen e Kryer te Thjeshte te foljeve te parregullta, ne e ndryshojme krejtesisht strukturen
(rrenjen) e foljeve).
You have to study and memorize the past simple form of the Irregular verbs .These forms are the same
for every person (1st/2nd or 3rd singular/plural). (Ju duhet ti mesoni dhe ti mbani mend format e foljeve

When we conjugate irregular verbs in simple past, in negative and interrogative we use did (for questions)
or didn’t (for negatives) and the base form of the verb. (Kur ne zgjedhojme foljet e parregullta ne kohen e
Kryer e Thjeshte, ne mohore dhe pyetese, ne perdorim foljen DID dhe DIDN’T plus formen baze te
