 DESIGN PROPOSAL:

Our proposal aims to create a modern and inviting 3-star hotel in Karachi, blending contemporary
aesthetics with local cultural elements to provide a memorable guest experience. Located in a vibrant area of

the city, the hotel will feature a welcoming lobby, stylish guest rooms, and well-appointed amenities including

a restaurant, bar, and business center. The design will emphasize comfort and functionality, incorporating

durable yet elegant materials such as wood, marble, and plush textiles. Cultural motifs and artworks inspired

by Karachi's rich heritage will adorn public spaces, creating a sense of place and connection. Sustainable

practices, including energy-efficient lighting and water-saving fixtures, will be integrated into the design to

minimize environmental impact. Our goal is to deliver a space that caters to both leisure and business

travelers, offering a warm ambiance and exceptional service that reflects the unique character of Karachi.

Concept for Designing a 3-Star Hotel in
Karachi:
The concept for the 3-star hotel, " Harmony in Contrast“. Karachi is bustling streets; our hotel
redefines contemporary elegance by seamlessly blending modern sophistication with the
city's vibrant cultural heritage. Our design concept seeks to create a harmonious interplay of
contrasts, where sleek modernity meets the warmth of traditional Pakistani elements,
offering guests an immersive and unforgettable experience.
The concept is inspired by Karachi's diverse landscape, where the old coexists with the new
in a captivating tapestry of contrasts. Drawing from the city's rich history, bustling markets,
and breathtaking coastal views, our design narrative celebrates the fusion of tradition and
innovation, creating a space that is both timeless and contemporary.

CONCLUSION:

The Pearl-Continental Hotel Karachi’s interior design is a blend of

luxurious sophistication and modern convenience, enhanced by
elements of local [Link], the design's complexity
necessitates high standards of maintenance and can sometimes lead
to practical challenges, This case study highlights the importance of
balancing elegance with functionality and the need for regular updates
to maintain high standards.

Los Angeles
This hotel have 9 floor frame with stepped
terrace gardens, 'The Avasa’.
The irregular shaped site was the biggest design
challenge. The site is wide towards the road and
narrows down towards the back. The building
follows the site and looks like the letter 'A' in plan.
The design of the hotel responds to its context with a
highly site-specific scheme. Due to limited open space on
site and in the vicinity, a continuous green space has been
conceived in the form of stepped terraces. These terraces
are visually connected from the third level to the top floor.

The Atrium could have been a single large volume from

ground to 11th level. However it has been split into two
- • The Lobby atrium at the ground level, connecting the
Grand lobby and the Banquet Halls. • The central
atrium at the third level which has been created under
the stepped terraces. This has been done in order to
control the sound echoes and also to maintain a sense
of scale.
There are two bridges between two room
blocks, one on the fifth floor which is the
business club "THE BRIDGE" and the other
bridge is the double-level Sky-Bar
connecting the room blocks on the tenth
and eleventh level.
The nine room floors sit on a podium containing the
arrival porte-cochere, the reception lobby ,the speciality
restaurants and the all day dinning.
The first level contains the banqueting facilities including
the Grand Ballroom which is connected directly to the
ground level porte-cochere by the Grand staircase.
The second level is the service floor over the banquet
corridors.
The central atrium space opens
out to the pool deck and terrace
party space.
The stepped terraces at each
higher floor has been given a
different character.

The third level has the first room floor

with spa and gym.
