Objective of HAB-59
● To provide platform to young talent groups in application development for
IT-based solutions in multiple categories
● To identify potential secure applications that not only combat but work better
than those banned by the Government of India
● Connect the young talents with Ministries and Industries for Entrepreneurial
opportunities
HAB-59 invites young technical talents across the nation to contribute to nation
building and self-sufficiency through secure apps to combat the 59 banned chinese
apps

Hackathon Format
The hackathon is is to be divided into two rounds:
1)Short Listing Round (Till 5th August 2020): Participants idea evaluation by the
participant Technical group and Industry Professionals. Results of this will be
declared on 1st August.
2)Execution Round(9th August to 18th August 2020): For next days participants
will work on their idea execution. 40% of the teams would be selected for this round.
Evaluation (19th, 20th and 21st August 2020 ): the participants will show off the
presentation of their projects to our judges.
Hackathon Categories
The participant’s projects must have a huge emphasis on security.
participants will have to make the project of the following categories:
● Office Productivity ● Health
● E -Learning ● Social Application
● Entertainment ● Business Application
● Games
Hackathon Categories
● The judging will be separate for each categories, with each category
getting equal importance and prize.
● The winners of the competition get
○ Cash prize
○ Incubation opportunity at MITADT- Atal Incubation Centre
● Proposed Cash Prize Pool per category is
○ First Prize: ₹ 1 lac
○ Second Prize: ₹ 50,000/-
● Total cash prizes worth ₹ 10.5 lacs
Hackathon Rules
1. Registration in a Group of Minimum 2 and Maximum 5 participants excluding
mentor.
2. Each team will have Unique Team ID, for further Communication
3. Multiple participation is allowed for which registration for each needs to be
separately done (with multiple team IDs).
4. Participants should develop Application related to the Domains mentioned in the
list. During registration each team has to select their domain of Idea and participant
should define abstract of the IDEA/ Mobile Application Process.

5. During registration participant should submit the ID Cards (College ID/
Company ID/ Government ID)
6. Student participant must be in a Graduate or a Post-Graduate Program, if the
participant is not a student they should below 25 years old and must provide
Government ID instead of College ID.

8. Hackathon Duration 10 Days: 9th Aug 2020 to 18th Aug 2020.
9. Last Date for Report Submission 18th Aug 2020.
10. Presentation Round will be scheduled for the all the selected teams on 19th,20th
and 21st of August 2020. Team Leader will get the link for the presentation, Team
Leader along with all team members should be present during presentation, and
Presentation duration will be 10 Min
Hackathon Project Rules
● Teams need to submit their GitHub link compulsory, as all of the monitoring
will be done there.
● The project progress will be tracked on the basis of the commits done on
GitHub.
● At least 70% of the work should be done at the hackathon. (Tracked via
changelog)
● It is not advised to copy projects from GitHub, if found so, it will lead to
disqualification.
Hackathon Project Rules
● If apps are server-dependent then the teams must make sure the servers are
running until the judging ends.
● Some percentage of marking should be milestone based for example. At
least one Module to be completed each day.
● Submission to be made with a working prototype along with README with
brief instructions to run the application and a video of a running prototype
for final judging.

Project Submission
The final submission of the hackathon is to be in the following format:
● A presentation with the provided template.
● Project code
● A short 2 - 3 min video explaining their project and its various
features.
● A project report detailing the features.
Project Evaluation
● There will be a technical committee of 7 participants, who will judge plagiarism
of the project, it will be 1 participant per category. If hackathon participation is
large then committee size might be increased.
● The participant committee along with our Industrial heads provided by our
sponsor from all around India will judge the projects.
● Participant team will evaluate the project plagiarism by looking up project files
on github, looking at date creation for files of the project and decompling(if
compiled) the fies and looking them up on repositories.
● The Industry committee will judge based on the following criteria:
○ Security
○ Technical Complexity
○ Design
○ Originality
○ Usefulness
Industry Committee
● The Industrial Committee will consist of people from the Industry all across
India provided by our sponsors, who will evaluate the participants projects.
● Evaluators will be given a presentation by the team regarding their project and
technical committee will report about the plagiarism to the evaluators.
● The Project Evaluators will be from all over India.
● The Evaluation will be done of the video conferencing platform of their
choosing.
