SYNOPSIS -1
Synopsis –Cricket Stadium
Abstract
This project is going to be a cricket stadium whose site in sissu from 8 km from its
Northern portal , the capacity up to 80,000 spectators. A stadium is staging ground
for spectator of masses of people. The influence of stadium is tremendous in its immediate
surroundings, and in some cases, it can be felt around the world .
Aim
The aim is to plan and design cricket stadium of international standards to ease the pressure on the
current stadiums in Himachal . The stadium facility will also enhance sustainable
approach and multi-functional ideology for designing of sports and recreation centre and
how the two can be combined and help each other to cater the need of world class
events .
the cricket stadium will not only help the budding cricketers of the tribal district in
honing their skills but it can also be an ideal location for holding matches in summer and
monsoon season in the country.

To research about the history and growth of cricket in India.
To research about the evolution of sports stadium.

4. Viewing angles
• To enhance a sense of national cohesion and common interest, this would act as a
major building, for society as a whole.
• To design a stadium whose functionality isn’t just limited to cricket but also other
sports can be played like hockey or football for national events.
• To design a stadium that attains a global image through its form, façade and roof
structure .
Scope and Limitation -
The scope is to promote a design for the stadium that meets the international
standards and reduces the pressure on the present stadium. Cricket stadium is
the key thought behind the entire design programme as it will be catering to the
2027 ICC world cup to be held in India. The idea behind the proposal is not be
focusing on just one mega event, rather it will be implemented in a way to be part
of the urban fabric of the city.
The limitation would be the cricket academy is not designed, but an adequate area is provided
for the same .

COURT, SWIMMING POOL AREA (COVERED), STAFFRESIDENCES, BOYS AND GIRLS HOSTEL,
AUDITORIUM, PARKING FACILITIES,GYM, FOOD COURT .
AIM OF THE PROJECT :
TO ESTABLISH THE ROLE OF SPORTS CULTURE AND AS THE NEED OF SPORTSSCHOOL IN ANY CITY OR
TOWN IS MUST AS IT REQUIRES ENCOURAGEMENT OF SPORTS IN INDIA WITH THE
ELONGATION OF QUALITY EDUCATIONAL FACILITIESPROVIDED FOR BETTER GROWTH OF
STUDENTS IN ALL RESPECTIVE FIELDS IN A SAME CAMPUS OR AREA .
OBJECTIVES :
• THE PROJECT IS ENVISAGED TO BE CLUSTER OF MODERN MULTI-FUNCTIONALWORLD
CLASS SPORTS FACILITIES. IT AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH ACOMFORATABLE ,
ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE OF SPORTS WITHOUT COMPROMISINGWITH
THEIR EDUCATIONAL STUDIES.
• TO CREATE SPORTS COMPLEXES TO CATER NATIONAL LEVEL EVENTS,COMPETITIONS
AND TRAIN YOUNG ATHELETES.
• TO CREATE RELAXED AND EASY ATMOSPHERE THROUGH DESIGN , ARCHITECTURALEXPRESSION ,
SO AS TO MAKE THE SCHOOL RETREAT FROM OTHER BURDEN OFSTUDIES IN CITY LIFE.
• TO CATER THE NEEDS OF ALL STUDENTS WHO WANTS TO MOTIVATE ANDINTEGRATE
THEMSELVES FORM SPORTS FACILITIES PROVIDED. INTEGRATION OF BUILT-FORM
WITH LANDSCAPE .
METHODOLOGY -
LIMITATIONS:
• THE DESIGN PART WILL BE ONLY CONCEPTUAL PLANS TO DEAL WITH
THE DESIGNPROBLEM.
• DUE TO LACK OF TIME PERIOD IT WILL NOT COVER THE DETAIL WORKING DRAWINGS
OF PROJECT , ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS AND PLUMBING DETAILS.
• THE THESIS WILL NOT COVER THE DESIGN OF MANUFACTURING UNIT SINCE IT’S
ADIFFERENT SECTOR .
SCOPE :
• COMMUNITY DEVELOPTMENT : Provides various community benefits which include
usable public spaces and increased social interactions.
• SITE ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE : Site has greater potential that can be used to
make environmental friendly design. Helps in improving community physical and
mental health by providing opportunity for physical activity to the society and
encourage active lifestyle habitats.
• PROMOTES SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPTMENT : Promotes economic developmentand
act as a catalyst for economic growth through increased investment.
• MODERN DESIGN : There is a wide scope of using new modern methods of
architecture to compete with various building projects of sports complexes with
