Proposal – ExpressConnect Service

7 Service Deliverables – ExpressConnect

• IP numbering
The Size of the IP numbering is a /29 Class C address block apart from the /30 link local address. Any additional block request should be
followed through a Business request. IPv6 Assignments are available based on request.

• Routing
Sify offers default routing for the customer’s prefixes to reach the Internet. Choice of Transit ports and upstream partners is at the
discretion of Sify.

• Dedicated local access

Sify will build and operate a dedicated local loop access circuit from the customer premise to the nearest Sify POP for provisioning the
requisite Internet service. Choice of Sify POP and type of access circuit is based on feasibility.

• Redundancy routing: Customer may opt for the following redundancies

a) Access circuit redundancy
b) Sify POP redundancy [only at the dual-pop cities with access circuit redundancy is selected]
The selection for redundancy can be deployed in Active/Active or Active/Passive modes.

• Tunneling and NAT

Sify doesn’t encrypt nor provide a Tunnel to the remote end points in the Internet. Customer needs to originate the tunnels at his end point,
transparent to Sify. Sify doesn’t undertake configuration of NAT policies on its network.

• CoS/QoS
All Internet traffic traversing Sify network are treated equivalent to best effort traffic and any Priority or preference for a certain type of
traffic or Application is not provisioned nor observed.

• DNS services
Sify provides PDNS & SDNS services for "resolving" or "caching" DNS servers that Customer may use for domain name look-ups by
Customer's in-house systems (PCs, mail servers, etc.) connected to the
Service. This domain name look-up service is only available if Sify is providing IP space and if Customer does not have its own DNS
server(s), and it may not be used by Customer’s spam detection software for querying spam block lists.

Customers wanting Domain registration and Authoritative name services for their zones can get it with an additional fee.

7.1 Service requisites

• CPE device: CPE is required for the Services. Customer may elect to purchase CPE from Sify or provide its own CPE. CPE includes, but is
not limited to the following:

- Channel Service Unit/ Digital Service Unit (“CSU/DSU”)

Access services may require a single CSU/DSU, multiple CSU/DSUs, or an internal router card with CSU/DSU functionality, depending on
the access bandwidth and desired configuration. Customer-provided CSU/DSUs must be Sify certified to be used with the Services.

9/3/2010 Page 10 of 13 Classification-Confidential

Proposal – ExpressConnect Service

- Routers
Unless Customer has separately contracted with Sify to provide additional support services, Customer is fully responsible for the router,
including configuration, maintenance, and management. If Customer elects not to obtain a router from Sify, Customer must furnish the
necessary ancillary equipment (cables, routing software, etc.) to ensure Interoperability with the Services.

• Full & partial routes

Customers wanting more than a default route from Sify and subscribing for the ‘Starter’ pack service needs to have an APNIC assigned
prefix and AS number. Customer needs to provide a CPE with abundant memory to hold the full Internet table. Partial routes consist of Sify’s
IP subnets, direct customers and national routes received from NIXI.

• Dual homing:
If the customer’s network is multi-homed, then Sify will configure dynamic routing during service implementation to support routing of the
customer’s network number(s).This requires the customer to have an Internet Autonomous System (AS) number. Sify will use Border
Gateway Protocol Version 4 ("BGP-4") dynamic routing protocol for multi homed configurations. The Customer will configure BGP-4 on the
IP Router for connection to the Services. The customer will configure the routing within its local network environment.
Acquiring IP address space and AS number from APNIC is customer’s responsibility.

• Asymmetric routing:
Customers have to be aware of asymmetric flow of traffic ‘to’ and ‘from’ the Internet. Sify has no control beyond its upstream partners and
cannot guarantee that the return traffic for a request returns through the same path.
