ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT OF UKIT MARANGAL
PROJECT MAYAP – Marangal na Adhikain: Yakapin, Arugain at Pagyamanin

life”. By investing in relationships with others, we create a foundation of support,
trust, and connection that can help us achieve our goals and lead fulfilling lives.
The implementation of Ukit Marangal at Sto Cristo Elementary School through
its Project Mayap was a transformative initiative aimed at preserving and promoting
the rich cultural heritage of the community by doing and enriching one’s values. The
project, driven by a commitment to uplift local traditions, was designed to engage
students and their families in hands-on learning experiences related to their acts of
goodness. By implementation of this application project proposal, we aim to bring
back camaraderie, integrity and openness to one another by embracing and
enrichment of small acts of kindness. Students participated in workshops,
orientations and symposiums where they learned the core dimensions of goodness,
respect, empathy, integrity and sharing of actual acts of goodness through
storytelling, all of these provided them with a deeper connection to their roots. Ukit
Marangal, meaning “Carve with Honor,” emphasized the importance of respecting
and preserving cultural practices while fostering a sense of pride in one’s identity.
Our school conducted a series of workshop seminars, different activities,
collaborative works of the parents, teachers, pupils, school head and religious
community to achieve this project. From August to December 2024, we held different
activities in order to develop pupil’s values, attitudes and academic excellence. It
also ensured this project the drive change in building a pupil with good citizenship
and see to it that no one is left behind to have an access on the opportunity in
becoming more and more responsible and sensible pupils. Through Project Mayap,
the school empowered students to become stewards of their heritage, ensuring that
future generations would continue to value and celebrate their cultural legacy.
