OMG OPEN 2025
AoS Championship
BASIC RULES
● Age of Sigmar 4.0 Rules will be used as well as the General’s Handbook Pitched Battles 2024 ‐25
● Each player must bring the General’s Handbook 2024‐25, the current rules for all units in their
army and all materials needed, including dice, a measuring device, templates and a writing
implement.
● The models in your army must be WYSIWYG and have a minimum of 3 colors
● If illegal units are found in a player’s list, at a minimum, the unit in violation will be removed
from subsequent play. Tournament points may be deducted, and prize support eligibility may be
forfeited.
● The OMG OPEN is a “Full Disclosure” tournament. Players must answer all questions and
provide relevant rulebooks/information at their opponent’s request.
● Tournament judge rulings are final and poor conduct by players will not be tolerated. The OMG
OPEN reserves the right to remove players from the event with no refunds allowed.
● Refund cutoff date - January 17th 2025
ARMY CONSTRUCTION RULES
● Each player is to bring an army of no more than 2000 points using the Army Composition rules
of the Advance Rules section from the Core Rule Book using the most recent published points
totals.
● Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, and Artefacts can be taken from your army’s faction pack.
● We will use all FAQ and rules up to 2/15/2025. Anything released after cannot be used.
● Manifestation lore, Spell lore, and Prayer lore must be included on your list when it is submitted
for the tournament. These will not change throughout the course of the tournament.
● All unit options must be shown on the models. For example, if models in a Kurnoth Hunters unit
have Scythes, you cannot use the rules for Greatswords. Aka WYSIWYG, unless the old 3.0
weapon profiles were combined on the new 4.0 warscrolls.
● Proxies are not allowed. “Alternative” models are more than welcome, but a Free Guild Griffin
representing a Terrorgheist will not work. If you are unsure, please email us beforehand, and
we’ll sort it out. We’re happy to make concessions for particularly themed armies.
● Lists must be submitted via the Best Coast Pairings app by 11:59 pm on 2/20/25. Players who
submit their lists by 11:59 pm on 2/17/25 will receive 10 bonus points.

GAME SCORING
Each mission will be scored exactly as described in the Battleplan from the GHB 2024 ‐25.
Total your Primary Objective points, then add your Battle Tactic points. This is the game result. If both
players have the same score, the result is a draw. Players will be responsible for submitting their scores
via the BCP app.
If players are tied in the standings, tiebreakers will be as follows: Wins > VP> BT > SoS
Battle Plans will be picked from the following list:
● Border War (1:1)
● Shifting Objectives (1:2)
● Jaws of Gallet (1:6)
● Close to the Chest (2:5)
● Scorched Earth (2:2)
SPORTSMANSHIP
Sportsmanship will not be scored at the 2025 OMG OPEN. It’s simple, don’t be a jerk.
ROUND TIMING
If a game has not reached a conclusion by the end of the round, the players must come to an agreement
(math-hammer) on who would win and which auxiliary objectives would be scored if the game had
concluded 5 full battle rounds. If agreement can not be made, a TO should be informed, and the TO’s
decision will be final.
PLAYER CONCEDES
If a player concedes, they receive a major loss and their opponent receives a major victory. Their
opponent also scores all possible remaining battle tactics and denies all remaining battle tactics.
For example, if player A concedes after the top of turn 2 (having taking turn 2), their opponent would
score 4 rounds of battle tactics [rounds 2,3,4,5], plus 3 rounds of denies [rounds 3,4,5], plus any points
they had already achieved for battle tactics up until that point.
PLAYER TABLED
If a player is tabled, the game does not immediately end. The remainder of the game should be played
out, or the players should come to an agreement (math-hammer) on who would win and which auxiliary
objectives would be scored if the game had concluded 5 full battle rounds.
LATE ARRIVALS AND BYES
● If more than one player arrives late for the first round, the late arrivals will be paired against
each other.
● If there is an odd late arrival in the first round, they will play the Ringer.
● If a player arrives more than 15 minutes late for a round other than the first, they score zero for
that round (and the opponent max scores 50).
● If there is an odd number of players the odd player will play the Ringer.
SETUP AND TERRAIN
Each battleplan will use terrain maps from the General’s Handbook. The GHB offers alternative maps for
each battleplan, and this tournament will allow the defender to choose which map to use.
The rules for setup are then:
The players roll off. The winner chooses which player is the attacker and which is the defender.
Next, both players set up the objectives in the locations indicated by gold circles on the battlefield map.
Then, the defender sets up the terrain features according to the selected map. The defender may
choose which piece of terrain will count as each terrain type designated by the map. Each terrain
feature must be set up more than 3” from the battlefield edge, more than 3” from all objectives and
more than 6” from all other terrain features.
After objectives and terrain have been set up, the attacker picks which territory is their territory. The
other territory is the defender’s territory. The players then resolve the deployment phase. The attacker
begins deployment.
