 Observe and describe the properties of air through simple experiments.
 Students will be able to explain the importance of air for living things.

02 Terminology / New words:

 Accompany
 Thunder
 Atmosphere
 Smoke
 Breathe
 Inflate
 Direction
 Reduce
 Harmful
 Water Vapour

03 Motivation:

 Start with a captivating story or a short video clip about the wind blowing leaves or a kite flying
high in the sky.
 Ask intriguing questions: "Have you ever felt the wind on your face?" "What makes a balloon

 Inflate a balloon. Explain that the balloon gets bigger because air is filling the space inside.
 Identify different forms of moving air: wind, breeze.
 Identify Different use of Air
 Identify importance of Air - All living things need air to breathe and survive.

 Provide each student with a piece of paper. Ask them to wave the paper and feel the air.
 Provide pinwheels to each student. Ask them to blow on the pinwheels and observe how they
spin.
 Ask students to draw a picture of something that shows air is moving (e.g., a tree swaying in
the wind, a kite flying).

06 Post Learning Assessment Assessing the student learning and understanding:

 Reading the Lesson

 Spelling
 Asking the students different forms of Air

07 Procedure:

 Recapitulating the previous knowledge of the student

 Motivate to answer the question based on previous knowledge
 Enhancing their knowledge by the explanation given by teacher
 Learning through Activity

08 Learning Materials:

 Balloons
 Pinwheels
 Paper
 Water bottle
 Pictures of wind, clouds, trees swaying, flying objects
09 Assess Students Progress:

 Asking the student progress by asking question

 "What is air?”, "Can you see air?" ,"What happens when you blow on a pinwheel?"
 "Why is air important for us?"
 Asking questions on the lesson completed
 Briefly review the key concepts learned: Air is all around us, air takes up space, air moves, air is
essential for life.

10 Teaching Learning Activity:

 Reading the lesson along with the students

 Understanding different forms of Air and their uses

11 Teaching Learning Material:

 Audio Visual Aids

 Chart paper or whiteboard
 Markers

12 Evaluation:

 Asking question on the lesson completed, Asking Spellings

13 Circle Time:

 Blow air into the balloon and keep the opening tightly closed between your finger and the
thumb so that air does not come out. Put small pieces of paper on the table. Bring the opening
of the balloon near the pieces. Let the air come out of the balloon. The air inside the balloon
moved them. What do you understand by this activity. List your observations and share with
your friends.

container).

02 Terminology / New words:

 Seep
 Crop Plants
 Dam
 Potable water
 Germs
 Rinse
 Stagnant water

 Start with a captivating story or a short video about a rainstorm.

 Ask engaging questions: "What do we use water for?" "Where do you find water?" "Have you
ever seen ice?"
 Show pictures of different bodies of water (rivers, lakes, oceans) and ask students to describe
them.
04 Content Development:

 Identify the three states of water: liquid, solid (ice), and gas (water vapor).
 Understand that water can change from one state to another (e.g., water freezes to become
ice, water evaporates to become water vapor).
 Show that water takes the shape of its container (e.g., pour water into different shaped
containers).
 Understand that water is essential for all living things (plants, animals, humans).

05 Learning Activities:

 Provide students with different containers (bottles, cups, bowls) and water. Ask them to pour
water from one container to another and observe how it flows.

to pour water into the containers and observe how the water takes the shape of each
container.
