Scaling Your Facebook

Ads
Learn the most advanced strategies to
successfully scale your Facebook ads.

DigiBundle @ 2023
Introduction To Scaling With Facebook Ads

In this module, you will learn the most effective strategies for
scaling Facebook Ads for e-commerce and Shopify. These
strategies have been extensively tested with hundreds of
thousands of dollars, and they have proven to be successful in
properly scaling Facebook Ads.

I recommend watching each strategy and testing them out for

yourself. Every business is unique, so what works for one may
not work for another. Testing is the key to successful Facebook
Ads. There are many variables on Facebook, and the goal is to
adopt what is known to work and develop your own version of
it.

In this module, we will cover the following strategies:

1. The 20% Duplication Strategy
2. 5-in-1 Scaling Strategy
3. The Sidestep Strategy
4. The Carpet Bomb Strategy
5. The Breakdown Optimization Strategy
6. Developing Your Own Scaling Strategy

By implementing these strategies, you will learn how to scale

your Facebook Ads to achieve remarkable results. Remember,
testing and finding what works best for your business is
essential. Let's dive into the best Facebook Ads Shopify scaling
module on Earth!
The 20% Duplication Strategy

The 20% Duplication Strategy is a classic scaling strategy that

allows you to gradually scale your ads while preserving the
profitability of your existing successful ad sets. Here's how you
can implement it:

1. Take your existing profitable ad sets that have achieved a

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) above breakeven and a good
CPP (Cost Per Purchase).
2. Duplicate these ad sets into a new campaign called "Scaling
Tier 1."
3. In the "Scaling Tier 1" campaign, increase the budget of
each ad set by 20% (you can use a calculator to multiply the
existing budget by 1.20).
4. Allow the ad sets to run for 2-3 days and monitor their
performance. Turn off any ad sets that are not performing
well.
5. Identify the profitable ad sets in the "Scaling Tier 1"
campaign and duplicate them into a new campaign called
"Scaling Tier 2." Increase the budget of these duplicated ad
sets by 20% again.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5, gradually increasing the tiers of your
campaigns and duplicating profitable ad sets into higher
tiers. Also, continue to duplicate other profitable ad sets
into your Tier 1 campaign to ensure they can also be scaled.
The 20% Duplication Strategy (cont.)

You can customize this strategy by duplicating ad sets multiple

times and setting different budgets for each duplication. For
example, you can duplicate an ad set twice and set the budget
of the first duplicate to the original profitable budget, and the
budget of the second duplicate to a 20% increase. This allows
for faster scaling at higher ad spend levels.

The 20% Duplication Strategy is an effective method for scaling

your Facebook ads while maintaining profitability. Remember to
monitor the performance of your ad sets and make adjustments
as needed.
The 5-in-1 Scaling Strategy

The 5-in-1 Scaling Strategy is a more aggressive approach to

scaling your Facebook ads and is particularly effective when
you want to achieve rapid growth. This strategy can be used to
take a store that is generating $100-500 per day and scale it to
$10,000+ per day.

Here are the steps to implement the 5-in-1 Scaling Strategy:

1. Identify an ad set that has generated 5-10 purchases in the

past two weeks and has a high ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
well above the breakeven point and a good CPP (Cost Per
Purchase).
2. Duplicate this ad set five times into a new campaign called
"5-in-1 Scaling (Today's Date)" and keep the budgets the
same for each duplicate.
3. Increase the budget of the original ad set by 20%.
4. Create and apply the "Killswitch" technique (refer to the
Killswitch module for detailed instructions on how to set it
up).
5. Monitor the performance of the new ad sets closely and
pause any underperforming ad sets. Repeat the process of
scaling the successful ad sets using the 5-in-1 approach
within the same campaign.
The Sidestep Scaling Strategy

The Sidestep Scaling Strategy is a favorite among many

advertisers as it offers a conservative yet fast approach to
scaling Facebook ads. This strategy allows you to scale your
ads while minimizing the risk of spending a significant amount
of money on testing.

Here's how you can implement the Sidestep Scaling Strategy:

1. Identify an ad set that has been profitable over the past
three days, including the current day, with a ROAS above
the breakeven point and a good CPP.
2. Duplicate this ad set three times into a new campaign.
3. Keep the budgets of two ad sets the same as the original ad
set, and increase the budget of the third ad set by 20%.
4. Apply the Killswitch technique to the new ad sets (refer to
the Killswitch video for detailed instructions).

The main idea behind the Sidestep Scaling Strategy is to

duplicate the ad set and maintain the budget that has already
proven to be profitable while simultaneously testing a higher
budget with the third ad set. This way, you can progressively
scale your ads without risking a significant amount of money on
testing.
The Carpet Bomb Scaling Strategy

The Carpet Bomb Scaling Strategy is an aggressive and highly

effective approach to scaling your Facebook ads. It is
particularly suitable for aggressive scaling from $100 to $1,000
per day to $3,000 to $5,000 per day or even higher in revenue.

Here's how you can implement the Carpet Bomb Scaling

Strategy:

1. Identify an ad set that has been profitable in the past three

days, with a ROAS above the breakeven point, good CPP,
and at least three purchases in its lifetime.
2. Duplicate the ad set using the following sequence:
If the ad set has 3-5 purchases:
Duplicate it three times at 1x the original budget
Duplicate it once with a 20% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 40% increase in budget
If the ad set has 5-7 purchases:
Duplicate it four times at 1x the original budget
Duplicate it once with a 20% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 40% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 60% increase in budget
If the ad set has 7-10 purchases:
Duplicate it five times at 2x the original budget
Duplicate it once with a 20% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 40% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 60% increase in budget
The Carpet Bomb Scaling Strategy (cont.)

If the ad set has 10 or more purchases:

Duplicate it seven times at 3x the original budget
Duplicate it once with a 20% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 40% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with a 60% increase in budget
Duplicate it once with an 80% increase in budget

The idea behind the Carpet Bomb Scaling Strategy is to test

different budget levels to determine which ones are profitable.
By using this strategy, you are effectively "carpet bombing"
Facebook with ad sets at various budget levels to find the most
successful ones. Once you identify the profitable ad sets, you
can further scale them using techniques like the 5-in-1 Scaling
Strategy.
The Breakdown Optimization Strategy

The Breakdown Optimization Strategy is a highly effective

scaling approach that leverages the data provided by Facebook
to identify the most profitable demographics, age groups,
countries, and placements. By utilizing this strategy, you can
scale those high-performing segments for significant profits.

Here's how you can implement the Breakdown Optimization

Strategy:
1. Analyze the data from the past five days of your ad sets and
sort them by "Purchases" in descending order.
2. Click on the "Breakdown" button and select "Delivery." Start
with "Age" breakdown.
3. Take note of the ad set name on a sheet of paper or a tool
like Evernote, and also write down the most profitable age
group(s) with a significantly higher ROAS than breakeven.
4. Switch the "Breakdown" to other categories such as
"Country," "Gender," "Placement & Device," and note down
all the most profitable segments within each category.
5. Keep the original ad set and duplicate it into a new
campaign named "Breakdown Optimization (Date)." Modify
the age, country, gender, placement, and device settings
for each duplicate based on the most profitable segments
you identified in step 4.
6. Set the budget for each duplicated ad set to $20 per day
and leave them running for 2-3 days.
7. Pause the underperforming ad sets and utilize any other
scaling strategies from this module to further scale the
successful ad sets.
