Migration of MBBS/BDS Students in
Affiliated Private Sector Medical/Dental Institutions
2024
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, invites online applications, as per the
prescribed procedure, for migration of MBBS/BDS students enrolled in affiliated Private
Sector Medical/Dental institutions under “Regulations for Migrations of Students 2023”,
notified on 24th January, 2024. The college-wise detail of vacant seats for the purpose of
migration is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria:
1. The applicant must be enrolled in a Private Sector Medical/Dental College duly
recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC).

2. For migration to the Third, Fourth or Final Year MBBS, the student must have passed
the MBBS Second Professional, Third Professional or Fourth Professional university
examination respectively.

3. For migration to the Second, third or Final Year BDS, the student must have passed the
BDS First Professional, Second Professional or Third Professional university
examination respectively.

4. In case of inter-university migrations, UHS Equivalence/Relevance Committee shall

determine the equivalence in terms of courses and subjects studied/passed and shall
identify the deficient courses and subjects. Migrations shall not be allowed to students
having deficient coursed and subjects for the said level.

5. A student studying in a foreign college/institute may apply for migration to an affiliated

private sector medical/dental institution subject to having completed at-least two years
of studies and passed the corresponding final examinations for the period of of study
completed in the foreign college / institute and having qualified the National
Equivalence Board (NEB) Exam conducted by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council
(PM&DC). In case a prescribed subject is being taught at the University but not
examined in the NEB Examination, UHS shall conduct an examination in the said
subject.
Merit Calculation Criteria:
For Local Students:

Criteria Weightage
Aggregate Merit percentage of student at the time of admission
under prescribed admission policy of PM&DC or relevant 50%
Provincial Government from time to time.
Aggregate percentage score of last passed Professional
50%
Examination.

For Foreign Students:

Criteria Weightage
Aggregate percentage score of student at intermediate level (12
years of schooling) irrespective of the study group. In case the
student has qualified intermediate level from a non-Pakistani
50%
scheme of education, he/she shall submit the scores on the
basis of equivalence determined by IBCC irrespective of group
of study.
Aggregate percentage score of NEB exam or UHS Equivalence
50%
Examination.

Application Procedure:
1. Eligible candidates can apply through the online portal ([Link]
No manual applications shall be entertained.
2. Fill in your particulars in the Application Form carefully.
3. Select the college from the dropdown list where you want to transfer/migrate.
4. Generate online Bank Challan of Migration Processing Fee (Non-refundable) of
Rs.12,000/-. After depositing the fee in any branch of Bank of Punjab (through branch
banking or online banking), enter the date of deposit and challan number on your
application form and also upload the picture of paid challan receipt.
5. Upload the following mandatory documents on the portal as listed on the Application
Form. The documents shall be in picture/JPG format with a maximum file size of 2MB
per document:
a) CNIC/Passport Copy
b) Recent Passport-size Photograph
c) Attested Photocopies of SSC or equivalent, HSSC or equivalent, MDCAT/NEB,
and detailed marks certificates of all professional examinations duly verified by
the relevant university in case of Inter-University migrations.
d) Admission/Joining letter of parent/previous college
e) Receipt of deposit fee
f) No dues certificate from the parent institution.
g) NOC from Parent Institute (for foreign students only)

6. Go through the application form and its attachments before final submission. The form
is editable till the final date of submission. Once submitted, no editing in the application
shall be allowed.

Important:
1. No migration is permissible from Public sector to Private sector and vice versa.
Similarly, no transfer is allowed from BDS to MBBS and vice versa.
2. Migration shall only be allowed on the basis of merit in the colleges with vacant seats.
3. No mutual migration of students shall be allowed.
4. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online portal. Any applications
that are incomplete or are submitted in violation of the prescribed procedure shall be
rejected. Failure to pay the migration fee by the specified date shall also result in
application rejection.
5. Students accepted for migration shall have to join relevant college within seven (07)
days along with the details of credit hours/attendance detailed results issued by the
Principal of the previous college. In case of non-joining by the student for any reason,
said vacancy shall be offered to next applicant on merit.
